  • I really liked this video. I will be using this in the furnished apartment in a furnished apartment in Novaliches Quezon City at 09175623143 where I am staying, and be sharing it with family members, colleagues and friends... really cool idea.

  • it feels very cluttered and messy in here. Sorry but I would not hire you to organize my space.

  • it is still very cluttered in there. I'm not a professional organizor and I hate cleaning/organizing but I still think i do a better job that that... no mean to be rude, I was looking for organizing tips and stumbled here... I just think you could do better. You don't have to fill every nook and crany of your home with something... you probably don't even need most of that stuff.

  • I do concern that these resembles the extreme version of 断捨離(dansha-ri)

which means to minimize the things you need

  • I"m sorry but this is still clutter... Too small of space for all that clutter.

  • Thats nice and all but she doesnt have kids....enough said.

  • organizer not decorator

  • here's a secret. stop buying things. you won't have anything to organize!

  • Wow, it's kinda sick - my room is like 2 times bigger than that appartment. and i really don't use like 70% of this space

  • * both living home with our parents, so these two rooms are our bedrooms ONLY......

  • now you got me scared... me and my bf have two rooms that are both probably 1/3 bigger than that apartment, and our future apartment will only be twice the size of that apartment... including bath, kitchen and living room... O.O

  • I would go CRazY! I would HATE living there. js(:

  • I certainly wont take advice from here, her house is a disaster, so UN-ORGANIZED

  • thats ridiculous, i hate NYC

  • love brick walls at home

  • So sorry- you have to start at bottom and scroll up to read.

  • only had the tiny bed wedged inside plus a small tall boy dresser and next to it a piece of wood between dresser and wall made a very tiny persons writing table. no chair -you sat on the bed. No kitchen, no bathroom, no insulation, no heater but the one you propped up on writing table at night you had to stash outside somewhere. and my friend got 800 bucks a

month rent for that shed that really was just a make shift place to sleep only. My friend did allow the renter in the

  • Wow! When I lived in Santa Barbara you got little square footage for your buck-but it was funky & a beautiful city. It's a college town and a tourist favorite & many hollywood celebs like it cuz it's so close to LA yet they can sneak off and be living the good life in just an hours drive time. Well, one year there were too many bodies & not enough spaces to rent it seemed. my friend across my street owned a home that had a tool shed in the back yard. you

  • Aside from those baskets you haven't shown "how to organize" anything. Your place looks cluttered and the little cabinet you opened looked messy inside! The labels on the baskets are not even neat - maybe you should use a label maker. Where do you hang jackets and coats?

  • Whenever I feel like my space is too little, I always come back to this video (:

  • this is an awesome video!

  • I really really like your vid, i live is a super tiny space in Bklyn and I'm overwhelmed due to my lack of organization. What suggestions d you have if one has no budget to buy new things to organize?

  • My Ford Excursion is 5 square feet bigger than this.

  • Would you please have a chat with my wife? Fantastic site. Many thanks for posting.

  • where did u get those white cotton dividers on the black wire shelves? I have a lot of space and I don't know how to organize it. Right now I am decluttering lots of paper. I have a one bedroom condo which I want to organize and decorate. Can u or anyone give me tips on what to use my ugly purple and grey storage crates for. I want them outta sight too and have thought about putting them in my walk through closet! Also, does anyone know a formula for working on a decorating theme?

  • @shygirlnow2011 I've seen the dividers at Ikea

  • 90 square feet but it still probably rents for $1,500 a month.

  • @Whitese7en Just over $700.

  • @kirstendirksen I know that in NY that's a bargain. You must really love the city.

  • @kirstendirksen insanity. My 1400 sf home on a lake mortgages for under $600/month.

  • @MickScarborough yeah but are you in the middle of nowhere?

  • This is interesting. I live outside Paris, France (former NYer) in a 2 bedroom apt, and it's hard to keep clean and organized. Not impossible ... but we definitely don't need MORE room. I do expatriation consulting and other fun stuff such as being a personal guide for vacation and business, if anyone wants to contact me. Good video, uprated.

  • Great video! They say we use 20% of our things 80% of the time. Great question - "what do you really need". Thanks for posting!

  • The storage bins can be found at The Container Store. If you don't have one in your area look for it on-line.

  • the standard house nowadays is just ridiculous

I would only need like 200 sqft to be comfortable...

  • That's to small I feel like it's a prison cell

  • Could a person have a dog in a space of this size or up to 200sq ft? and which dog breeds would be ideal? Boxers are my dog of preference btw.

  • @CHRiSTJUNKi3

My wife and I and our dog lived full-time and year round for 4 and a half years in an Airstream travel trailer which had an interior area of 248 square (8' x 31'). The dog was about the size of boxer (66lbs) and we all lived very comfortably in it with all our belongings. So yes, you can live comfortably in such a space with a dog that's not too energetic (not a Jack Russel for instance). Hope this helps.

  • way to go on living in a small space, wish there were more small apartments available. I think that having those white box things stacked on the black wire shelves is working against making your place look organized. I understand that it helps you to find everything but I think you would do better with a large file cabinet or something of the like were you could organize stuff inside and then close the drawers for a clean smooth look. Living small is the way to go!

  • how is nyc living like, inside and out?

  • anyone know where I can get those soft woven basket / tray thingiea she pulled out with scarves and yoga tops in them and the cotton baskets that can hold the tags? I could really use those!

  • @hipretty Ikea forever!

  • @inutzel thanks for replying!

  • id go crazy living in a place that small! ive lived in smaller but now that I am in a relaly nice place, I would never go back if I could help it.

  • are there other apartments like this in NYC?

  • @codgamer690 There are definitely others. I filmed a smaller one last summer. It's called "Manhattan shoebox apartment: a 78-square-foot mini studio "

  • Small house movement = impoverishment & disenfranchisement. There's nothing romantic, hip nor cool about living in an upholstered garden shed, despite P.B.S.'s preachments.

  • even if i were rich, id want a small as possible place with the least furniture, but painted in colors&very neat. i also dont own a lot of clothes&don't buy what i dont need. that makes me happy

  • love these storage bins! did you make them yourself?

  • if u had such a big room why'd u move in such a tiny house ??

  • I love the idea of organization, however the signs look sloppy...idk just my opinion.

    What else can be used?

  • I think the organization is ok but it still looks cluttered. I personally wouldn't hire her but that's just my opinion.

  • I am using these videos as inspiration for a fun contest. In real life I need to learn from this as well.

  • I feel suffocated just looking at this. How much time does she spend refolding when she pulls a shirt from the middle of a pile, or reaches way over her head for something and everything falls out?

  • You can tell by her demeanor that she's actually very successful. I'd say there's something to admire about her.

  • @AMcGrath82 just curious, wtf is you admire, and all l see in her demor a sexually deprived nars . b**** lf you know body language you can tell by way she stands rigid and legs crossed so tite you'd a crowbar to get in that pie! l prefer my legs to just like peanut butter, soft, smooth, and easy to spread!! ; - )))

    d

  • I can't do that. I'd feel suffocated >.< lol

But I agree with her. She's right. :)

  • hey slave that 1200 sq ft home to big!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! you have to live in 5/8 cell for home

  • We sold our 3500 sq. ft. home and bought a 37 ft. travel trailer to live in until we got our house built. We liked living in the trailer so much that we decided not to build a house. It's really nice because of the money we saved by not building we are able to take vactions and relax more. I have everything I had in my house in my trailer. It's great because it used to take me all day to clean the house, now I can clean in under an hour.

  • I would rather live in a small place, however in this video, the apt. could look alot more attractive- with curtains that hide all the shelves etc. I used to live in a studio apt. and my place was great, but I amade it alot more vibrant.

I'd do it again if I could stand the winters!!!

  • I live in a 66sq ft apartment. It's all about living in simplicity and not having too much stuff.

  • Does anybody remeber the Blues Brothers??

I'd swear this is where they filmed jake's apartment when Elwoods girlfriend blew it up..LOL.

  • I've done much the same, after the death of my Husband, almost 2 years ago, I've "downsized" our home from 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, into a "STUDIO" when I have just the Living Room, Kitchen, Laundry and Master Bathroom. The other rooms have been permanently sealed off. And I've thinned & thinned, and am continually thinning, because the old state "LESS IS MORE" really is true.

  • Sorry, i wouldnt pay 700 for that. you can live in alb,nm or in fl for 750 for 900-1200sq ft.

  • @sweetliz20041 350 you can get a 2 br house in nm 1300 sqft

  • nice way to make your name out. even if you she doesn't live there she got publicity.

  • @scancool

Is you're life that pathetic? That you feel the need to type such retarded statements?

  • I am jealous! I wish I knew where to get a tiny space in NYC. I would be there in a flash. I have wanted to live there for years and can't afford $3,000.00 a month. I don't want to "share" a space and would be VERY happy living where she does. I don't require much, so I say, great for her!

  • well at least she dont have TONS of bills to pay also i cant image me and my kid living in that kind of home no thank you lol

  • If youve ever rented a room in nyc u know that this is possible u can say bullshit but I lived like this for months and never had an issue.

  • thats gotta be hard to have sex in . you'd have to do it on the floor

  • @MrGibbsatWar that's the first thing I thought when I saw her in the loft bed.. if you did have sex up there you'd have to be waaay too careful lol

  • @MrGibbsatWar I was thinking the same thing. This apt is definitely for a single person not looking for a relationship...LOL.

  • @MrGibbsatWar Ahhhh it wouldn't be YouTube without the idiotic comment

  • @rejaperez : ok , like you would fuck in a lil house m shudd up nigga !

  • @MrGibbsatWar I'm not black you racist fool

  • @MrGibbsatWar I got the feeling that she was gay, but who knows for sure. I'm all for small living but being that close to the ceiling in my bed would keep me from resting well. She's pretty cool for living like this, but a bit kooky.

  • She is so full of shit!! She does not live there!! She may work their and spend a night there but thats not her main home!! BULLSHIT!

  • @DG3744 My my, such anger. How is it that you know with absolute certainty that she doesn't live there? And why does this make you so mad in the first place? Chill out, dude. This is a quasi-news piece about a woman living in a small place. Babies aren't dying because of this story. Sheesh.

  • @alyssaharley WOW! Who said I was angry!! dON'T Assume anything about me you have no idea who I am. Don't you accuse me of anything. I know for a fact that this is a total sales pitch. I know someone who knows her and she still lives with her family. I just don't like being played for a fooled or bullshitted.

  • @DG3744

No one gives a shit who or what you are! But since you're the one pressing the issue? Proof or STFU moron....

Youtube...Like 4 chan just another breeding ground for retards...

  • I'm sorry, but that's not a "home." I have to imagine this woman can afford a place that's bigger than a walk-in closet, so I don't for the life of me understand why she's choosing to live in a space where she can't have guests or entertain or spread out and just LIVE. I don't get it for the life of me.

  • @DucRacerX - u da looser. sucker.

... she lives in NYC, does what whe enjoys, pays her own bills and can clean up her spot in 5 minutes.

plus she has demonstrated creativity, adaptability and a willingness to be open to the world.

when was the last time you had your house videotaped for youtube? - plus - she's cute. ... what u got going on for yourself?

  • MILF

  • That bed is only good for spooning

  • @2KGrind09: That's if the body does not hit the ceiling first. Ha ha ha ha...

  • The bed is lofted. You can see it in the other related video "Simple life Manhattan: a 90-square-foot microstudio"

  • Uh, anybody see a bed?

  • What does 9'x10'=?? 90 ft square. This video is deceptive. It looks much bigger and bootier! at least 102.5' Move out of NYC and into the country!

  • it still seems like she has a lot of stuff, way too many clothes

  • I moved into my little studio about 1 1/2 years ago from a large 1 bedroom. I have since gotten rid of probably 80% of my belongings that I started out with. Like this woman in the video said, I still feel like I have too much and I continue to find stuff to give away. Living in this small space has been very freeing and I love it!

  • *Cute tiny place but too much clutter.

*Remove bath tub (keep shower - more space).

  • @cmammlj: I really didn't like the interior of the entire bathroom in general. Just looks way too claustrophobic.

  • Very well organized! I loved the cloth baskets you use! Where are they from?

  • @foxyluvsdreamy

I believe both are from Ikea.

  • She has a great point. The only thing I use my living room for is to connect the front door to my master bedroom. I own a 2bdrm 1 & 3/4 bath condo but I'd be just as happy with a studio floor plan. It's paid off as of 2 months ago (YIPPIE!). Took 11 years to pay it off but if I had bought something smaller I could have been 100% debt free 4 or 5 years ago.
