What kind of benefit does that slide design even have?

It looks like most of this stuff you could to to your own 1911 and only pay about a quarter of what they're asking.

Are you a 1911 smith? Do you have all the tooling and milling equipment setup? You have to understand that there is more than just an aesthetic difference between a 500 dollar 1911 and one that costs 2,000+. If after actually taking the time to research the differences, if you still feel that the price isn't justified, don't buy one. But sending your 1911 off to a reputable smith to have this type of work done isn't exactly going to be cheap.

great little vid bro.., i love that compact version.., and love that they just kept the single side safety., i hate dual safety on my 1911., feels like it always wants to get hung up or catch a snag.., kinda odd too i woulda liked to have the barrel threaded and extended from Nighthawk for use with a can..,but all in all.,9 outta 10.., but "GW" , you get a 10 outta 10 as usual !

@rivemor i do know 1911's, I've owned a remington. Triggers are perfect but i dislike the gripsafety and the takedown of it. Now i've a FNP 45 tactical. suits all my needs and more. wouldnt mind to have a all steal pistol again, would go for a SIG scorpion then, msrp is arround the 1100. And yes the hype has to stop, i mean, chris costa action dolls?

Nice! That was really cool.And if I won the lottery I don't think I would spend $3495 on that 1911. For the price it is a showpeice,a BBQ gun and I would get a Wilson,Cylinder and Slide or a more blinged out 1911 for a show gun. As a shooter/carry gun I would get a Ruger,S&W,Colt or SIG and have a solid gun from a quality gun maker because if I do use it to save my life I don't want the legal BS in court of me needing a "special/custom" gun to kill poor little Johnny with the meth habit.
