actually u do not need to draw the graph out to find the angle..it is actually very simple equation...jz use the quadrat theory..tats simple instead of drawing the graph which is rather wasting time =.=
why do you say that? the only comments by mathtutor will have the maths tutor user name, like this one. the only comments removed are those trying to make a link with other web sites, usually shall we say rude web sites!!
your lessons are fantastic and make it fun to learn. Because of you i got an A for a level mathematics. Your an great inspiration and you have played a great part in starting my life (I know attend oxford university)
how do you know when to change the mode on your calculator to radians or degrees? is it only when you are doing calculations involving sin cos or tan or not?
as this is really revision of GCSE for A/AS level... plus a little... it is but an opening to the topic. very unwise to try and put grades to small snipits. mathstutor
This is brilliant. I studied a level maths at night school at my local college in Guildford but flunked. These tutorials are fantastic. If teaching is as exciting as this then I think I would be well on to a grade a.
I see your point...... yes strictly speaking you are right..... when working with a function, the domain is the "object" set and the range is the set of numbers onto which the "domain maps". Unfortunately we can use words for more than one meaning. In maths, range can be used in statistics for a completely different meaning. I was using the word range just to speak of "from that value to another value". I hope my usage has not caused confusion. mathstutor

I thought the range was the y values and the domain - the x values...
