well, they snapped up the film rights but I'm not sure it's definitely going to be a film.

I hope so though! I loved the series :)

@MindSweepingMind haha lol. thats cool. so far haven't seen any update other than David Hwang as Screen Writter and the producers of many of Spielberg's films and Last Airbender. They all are currently working on bigger projects. I think people were expecting a movie since late 2005. So idk if this will still happen :(

the special effects needed for tales of otori could also take some time

@MindSweepingMind What will take up the most time is building all the sets. Special effects shouldn't be too expensive or time consuming for Tales of Otori. Maybe they're waiting for a big budget so it can carry on into the sequel.
