I have a question, I have a 6 year old King Shepard, he is about 105 pounds, my question is, would he protect me and attack someone if they were trying to hurt me or attack me? I wonder because hes really calm and sweet. please answer.
i seen so many videos on here by companies who dont know to train "protection" dogs at all, its such a joke and very frustrating after seeing a few minutes of this video i would say you guys know what your doing.i would not know the difference though if i did not get my protection dog were i did. good job

@Djalitana If you go up to a dog to "pat its head" the dog thinks it's a threat. The dog should first sniff the back of your hand (curl in your fingers) and then you can gently rub the dog's chin if it doesn't bark or growl. I wouldn't recommend approaching a strange dog without the owner's permission or without precautions. Anyway, if the dog attacked unprovoked, it's the owner's fault for not training it to not attack unless a cue is given. Not all dogs are bad!
@procamvideonewswatch The video had loud background noise in it due to a format transfer issue , I know the song is kinda catchy and silly , but trust me its better then the fuzzy white noise that was there in the first place :)
Thats amazing. The dog has enough obedience to not attack on impulse when being tested with the stick. He attacks when only his master allows him. GREAT VIDEO.
@monas you can't see in the video but the trainer actually puts his protected arm in the dog's mouth direction so when the dog comes running up thats going to be the first thing he gets his hand on. lol the dog doesn't know the trainers hand is protected from him and he doesn't think to himself on the way "should i bite his left or right arm?"

@oscar7610 yes easily, but if trained correctly they are great familly dogs, and would only bite if your familly is in danger. mine have all this training but at the same time they let my 8 month old niece play with them and are crazily gentle.
I know that this training can be dangerous, but its so cute that every time the guy 'attacks' the dog always remains between the 'attacker' and the trainer.. So protective :)
OK this is how my cousins got mack (the German Shepard) OK so they were training mack but he wasn't very aggressive so they gave him to my cousins and hes really nice and does not bite best dog ever
@MuzzaHQ Sometimes that happens and you just find the dog a good home and find a dog who has the drive for tasks like this. There's no point in trying to make a dog do something he obviously has no drive for.
@TheID3000 I've never been a fan of rotts, but that's personal opinion. As far as loyalty, trainability, and physical build/stamina, you just can't get a better mix than a well built GSD. :)
omg! I love german shepherds but my mom wont let me have one, I used to have on but it keep using the bathroom in its crate and my mom gave it away to its original owner where his dad was, my mom lost site of how dogs are and thats just one problem we can fix.
He is such a well trained GSD! These dogs are amazing, I have one myself, and she just turn a year old, but she is the smartest dog I've ever had. LOVE German Shepherds.

@MuzzaHQ Sometimes that happens and you just find the dog a good home and find a dog who has the drive for tasks like this. There's no point in trying to make a dog do something he obviously has no drive for.

@TheID3000 I've never been a fan of rotts, but that's personal opinion. As far as loyalty, trainability, and physical build/stamina, you just can't get a better mix than a well built GSD. :)

omg! I love german shepherds but my mom wont let me have one, I used to have on but it keep using the bathroom in its crate and my mom gave it away to its original owner where his dad was, my mom lost site of how dogs are and thats just one problem we can fix.

He is such a well trained GSD! These dogs are amazing, I have one myself, and she just turn a year old, but she is the smartest dog I've ever had. LOVE German Shepherds.

I have been been bitten by a GSD and I still love them(Even though I was sent to the emergency room)! They are my favorite type of breed.

German shepherd dogs are amazing. My family is getting one to guard the house, be a running companion, an agility dog, and a personal human protector. I can't wait until we get it!!!
