Health Care in India specially for the poor sucks, but there are some great innovations in low cost health care, check out the aravind eye clinic video here on youtube. Alot of these innovations can ease the burden of healthcare in the US as well. Unlike India where healthcare will only get better, the US us saddled with bureaucratic red tape which keeps costs high and patients lives in peril.
Heh... "Access to medical care" eh? I wonder why many US citizen who do not have medical insurance suffer?
I'm a foreigner living in India, it is true that their government health care system SUCKSSSS and many poor people suffer due to this.... but their private health care system is very affordable (compared to my country - Malaysia)...
But a private health care system wont do much good to vast majority of the people.. A GOOD GOVERNMENT-RUN health care system is what needed in INDIA and US.
True but India clearly didn't get public health care properly. Look at most Canada and the UK. The NHS and Canada's provincial health care systems blow the USA's health cares system out of the water. And we're the worst of 1st worst public health care system. USA needs to take examples from Italy, France and the Swiss where health care is one of the top priorities.
American Propaganda is right. I live in India ..and for the cost of one person getting a heart transplant in the United States ..about 4 people can get it here ..the point that a only a certain demographic can afford it anyways, is irrelevant.
The cheaper it is, the more accessible it is to the public either ways.
Plus you always have an option for Homeopathy and Ayurveda. Talking about american healthcare, we know all about. Canadian healthcare, honestly even though it is free it will take mercilessly long time just to get your MRI ( 2months believe me). In India u can get it on the same day ! ( the cost is around 80 usd max) . It's not a surprise that the medical tourism industry is booming in India like anything.
I completely disagree with this video. India is disturbingly diverse country in terms of everything to give an example the GDP ration for one state to another state can be 1:5. It means in one state u find rich and other state extremely poor. The currently video ONLY talks about government hospitals where only death-poor people go for a treatment as it is completely FREE. The private hospitals are extremely well equipped and the procedure is quick .
Yeah, so-called free healthcare is quickly consumed, so if you don't want to negotiate the long waits and layers of bureaucracy you end up paying for it anyway. I have the best health care plan anyway: I insure myself and pay for it out of pocket when it is needed.
In India, i do not have to go to emergency of minor hiccups, as doctor on the street can take care... Fuck, In India, My doctor could even come home at 2 A. M in the morning. Indians are street smarts, and unorganized.... American health sector is organized, and therefore, expensive, and corrupt... Plus, Americans do not even have alternative to modern medical system.... I hope, In india, social government stays away from the system.
