It's easy to look at who produced this piece and just take it as some dramatic infotainment by one of America's most loathed political organizations, but we are almost at this point.
We share what eat, when we shit, and even where we go already, voluntarily. How long will it be until government harnesses this information to "protect" us from our own personal choices? Trying to order double meat toppings on your pizza will be the least of your problems.

This video was posted in June 2006. Fast forward 3 1/2 years. People are voluntarily posting this type of information about themselves on Facebook, and Twitter. They now have apps that let you post where you are during your day. We don't need 'Big Government' to pry into our lives. People are giving up this information because they think their lives are so important, everyone else NEEDS TO KNOW what they eat and when they poop..

What's funny about this is this is where things will go under the liberal healthcare plans. In the bill, there are provisions to dispense IRS records to various agencies.
It's part of that system where they get to determine who gets treatment - the stuff they complain about insurance companies doing.
Obama says they're gonna cut $500 billion from Medicare - that will be done with denying care.
And crap like what is in the video will be used to raise money (taxes.) It's all liberal.

thats not true, go ahead and google "ACLU protecting christians". the first site will give you a very large list of the ACLU supporting christian rights.
what the ACLU does do is enforce the seperation of church and state. many right wing americans are under the misconception that christianity should be the norm, the ACLU works to dispel that myth.

If they are for the separation of church and state why did they require the University of Michigan a public school to fund Muslim foot baths but have worked against the rights of Christians on campus?

go check out what they did for christians concerning discrimating against muslims. they defended the rights of students to state on t-shirts that allah is the devil and jesus is the only way. what the ACLU does is defend the 1st amendment.
so the christians have the right to practice their religion. so do the muslims. so do the satanists. so do the budhists, and the pagans. however you are not allowed to force religion on people, this is different than practicing it. (no prostilizing).

But your avoding the issue. This is not just allowing people to believe x y or z. This is requiring government funds to be used in the practice of Religion ie foot baths. If that is ok why don't we require the state to build places for Mormons to worship on campus? Or Evangelicals or Pentacostals?
Look most of the ACLU contributors are liberal most of its staff are liberal and its executive board are liberal so why is such a stretch to think that they are biased toward liberal issue?

if you consider the freedom of speech a liberal issue than sure the ACLU has a liberal bias.
if you don't think the ACLU defends everyone regardless of affiliation than i suggest you type into the google search bar "ACLU defends (fill in the blank)". the ACLU defends anyone who is having their 1st amendment rights violated.
as for the foot baths, i imagine the ACLU would defend the mormons if they insisted the college alter uniforms to cover their magic underwear.

I really don't care what you "think" the ACLU record is quite clear... they are for certain religious liberties and not others. Again the issue was not the ability to practice ones religion the problem is public money going towards a private worship which is a definitely a violation of the church and state issue.

I have sited instances where the ACLU has not taken the high road and have defended some rights but not others. You have not even addressed those concerns and have only spoken in Grand terms and generalities which just shows how weak your case is. you cited an example where a public school funded a reconstruction project on a shower room to add foot baths that anyone could use. the ACLU did not pressure them into doing it, they did it of their own accord. anyone can use the footbaths regardless of religion. some students had voiced their concern over the muslims using sinks to clean their feet. the school acomodated the foot cleaning ritual without any intervention from the ACLU.
now please site something that the ACLU did pressure.

check up on what you cited. the ACLU didn't even ask for the footbaths to be installed. after the footbaths were installed the ACLU was asked to comment on it and said they had nothing against the installation.
the ACLU had nothing to do with installing the footbaths.

This is so well done and I am so happy that the ACLU did it, but it still doesn't change the fact that the ACLU ignores the 2nd Amendment for political expediency. If they would be intellectually honest and embrace the entire bill of rights, they would have the support of so many people like me.
