  • @williejenkins666 By the way, no nations in ancient and modern history can progress without a diverse and effective transportation systems. Roman was left ruined because of failure of the public infrastructures. Even British has lacked behind because of their outdated transportation network (railway especially). And U.S. still have her time and chance to repair or possible diversify their public infrastructure which right now, don't have any good rate.

  • @williejenkins666 It is different but unfortunately, even the highway and roadway of U.S. aren't getting newer as well. Like I said, unless there are some transportation and infrastructure policy U-turn made by the U.S. Congress and senates. Otherwise, the more you argue the more you proved my point is correct.

  • @williejenkins666 Well, perhaps you just proved yourself to be a spoiled car and oil lobbyist while other countries try very hard to forsake these two thing that harm our environment. Well done.

  • @williejenkins666 So you does enjoy slow travel while don't realize that bus and highway system, mostly associated with oil (and I have serious doubt on electronic batteries for now). And those oil lobbyist hunger for your blood money, spoiled freak. And American population, are not getting smaller if I'm wrong, and bigger population means higher demand.

Unless American transportation and infrastructure policy got a U-turn. Otherwise, you just made my day for proved my comment is right.

  • @williejenkins666 By the way, spoiled freak. Enjoy paying high prices of commodities for your future generations. You deserved a spoiled living of a celebrity while the whole world is competing and developing. Really, you earned it.

  • @williejenkins666 So you don't think Eisenhower consider the cost of construction of Interstate Highway system and other public infrastructures, smarty? And you don't think the public infrastructures will own lands in order to build it?

Public infrastructures don't benefit or profit in the short run. It mend to benefit the FUTURE generations to progress and develop. Public infrastructures can only works when wise management is apply.

  • @williejenkins666 Still enjoying car rides aren't you, spoiled freak? Still enjoying to pay soaring oil prices aren't you? Still not realized how congested the American airports can be?

Not China and Europe. Well spoiled freak, time to learn and observe. American was found from learning others and then progress and develop through policy and technology ingenuity. Sadly, it's the spoiled princes and princesses took those achievement for granted which stands as the majority in U.S.

  • @williejenkins666 Back in 1965 (which hope I'm right anyway), U.S. got her golden opportunity to have this new type of mass transport system unfortunately, the project gone up in smoke without any proper policy and system.

  • @williejenkins666 By the way, creativity does work when comes to infrastructure policy. Just look at how successful that Japan, China and Europe has done on their railway infrastructure. And THOSE, are tax payers' money in the past which will benefit the future generations.

  • @williejenkins666 Well done, that proved you took American's mighty infrastructures that had built in the past for granted. Only this time however, you defended that practicality on something that already clotted where most of the peoples try to get rid off. And mind you, public infrastructures doesn't profit in the short run.

Well, Lincoln, Hoover and Eisenhower will cry right now after they heard what you say. LOBBYIST.

  • @williejenkins666 Infrastructures only will work when creativity put into it. And alternatives came out from man's creativity. And this creativity came out from simple yet all time human ingenuity.

Let's hope you're not one of those lobbyist or Tea Party beggars as I suspect. Although after all those comments, you're pretty close to come that.

  • @williejenkins666 By the way, after what I read your comments you sound like a spoiled lobbyist of an industry that afraid of this alternative transportation system will harm your industry. Back in around 50 years ago, the automobile industry bought the L.A. subway system and later those freaks destroyed the subway system itself in the name of industrial profits. And because of these automobile lobbyist, U.S. right now has filled the highway with cars and trucks till standstill.

  • @williejenkins666 You had proved yourself that you don't know what is economy development and commercial ingenuity. Back to the past for a while, Interstate Highway system transformed American way of travelling with the speedway connecting to the cities and towns alike, just like what the good-old locomotive railways that has developed and even found towns after towns which later become a bustling cities of commerce.

  • @williejenkins666 that's how i thought you'd respond

  • @williejenkins666 everyone uses highways because there's no freakin alternative! if we were in japan you would be saying the same thing about high speed rail. the reason nobody's using it because there's no hsr network. and you proved my point on highways sustaining themselves, which is exactly how rail sustains itself, which was the main point i was trying to make.

  • @williejenkins666 didn't this"conversation" start of as to whether or not highways sustain themselves? i refuted your point there. gas taxes do not sustain highways and the "librul" who shouted it was in the right. as to the milwaukee-madison line yes it would be used by people coming from chicago also. i'm really sick of this and it's clear to me that anything most libruls would say you would just automatically disagree with.

  • @williejenkins666 seriously, i refuted all of your points! freight train is more economically efficient than a truck traveling large distances. go suck ayn rands dick now like most conservatives and blame everything on dem libruls.

  • @williejenkins666 Okay well YOU asked about how items get to my local stores and freight trains are more economical than a truck, passenger rail died and is limping because a taking the highway is FASTER than taking a train dumbass. passenger rail died in a lot of countries b4 hsr took over just because noone uses passenger trains today doesnt mean they wouldn't use hsr

  • @williejenkins666 ever heard of freight trains? guess not

  • @williejenkins666 population statistics aside, the line would have been put in place from chicago to milwaukee to madison so people from chicago could also travel to madison at high speed in a shorter time than it would take to drive, and eventually up into minn with mor conventional rail. walker turned down the milwaukee to chicago line to, and my point still stads that highways don't "sustain" themselves either

  • @williejenkins666 high labor costs certainly aren't an issue, the minimum wage is much lower than what it was in the 80s due to inflation, and skilled labor has gone down, and as for environmental laws i'm not exactly sure where you are going with the environmental laws, because youd be surprised how loose they really are and how many companies just ignore them altogether. many people travel between milwaukee and madison and just because they drive there now doesn't mean they would shun a train

  • @williejenkins666 yeah okay thats why either there's a toll system, or like here in wisconsin money for the highways comes out of your taxes. we are the only developed economy not to have high speed rail infrastructure! even china is building a system of high speed rail lines. Its called buying a ticket. i'd like to here what you say when unemployment goes up because the train died, and now walker is asking for that money back. hurr durr libruls
