Mutts are awesome, i can't wait to get mine. Welding tho is a bit drastic, i would only consider it if i had little time and it was of course in a post-apocalyptic environment. Otherwise use lockers!
Welding the gears put more strain on the axle shaft u joints make sure that they are good if you weld it. And try to stay off off paved roads. It has improved the off road ability greatly I am not getting stuck nearly as much. Thanks for checking this out
