This is a great album - a shame this bunch never got the attention they deserved. I believe their lead singer previously fronted for an obscure but terrific band called Sacred Fire. Produced only one album (I believe) in the mid 80's. Outstanding, hard rock stuff, up front biblical message. It was one of my favorite albums from the period; no longer available, I suspect; but I still have the cassette, which I break out and listen to once in a while.
@billytheimpaler iTunes will soon. Rex Carroll just signed a record deal with Retroactive Records and will be releasing 4 CD's over the next year. First up will be a re-issue of King James, The Fall. Following that will be new material for Whitecross and his two new bands, The Heal and The Rex Carroll Band. You can hear samples on Reverbnation! Just do a search for Rex Carroll!
@luvjasmin He ought to re-release the first King James album too. I would snap that up in a heartbeat. I wore the cassette out listening to it. Loved it.
"Sunrise in Rio" is one of my all time favorite instrumentals. Rex Carroll is incredible. I'll load up Sunrise in Rio, Riviera Paradise (SRV), Europa (Carlos), Onda (LLB) and Perdoname by Del Castillo to chill out!
Hey I used to love this band back in the day!! This was during what I consider the "golden age" of contemporary Christian music! White Cross, Petra, Newsboys, Mylon Lefever and Broken Heart, DC Talk, Michael W. Smith, etc. I remember there was one song on this album.....I cannot remember the name of it but it was an instrumental with a sort of Spanish guitar flavor to it. I thought it was absolutely beautiful! Does anyone remember what the name of that song is and if it's on you tube?
Thank you for posting this gem! King James and Whitecross are phenominal bands and Rex Carroll is one of the finest hard rock guitarists. It's a shame that the mainstream labels and critics turn their heads just because of the biblical messages.

Is that the lead vocalist from one of Angellica's albums? Rex Carroll is ROCKIN' on the lead guitar as usual.

No, you must be thinking of Drew Baca. Jimi Bennette on the vocals.
