There was a period in wrestling when people would always stay in character. Sometimes the boys wouldnt smarten up the other wrestlers when a work was being done.Murdoch was good friends with Ernie Ladd.I wouldnt be surprised if it was Ladd who brought Dick into mid south.
Redneck Dick Murdoch is learning the meaning of the word PAIN. Abdullah the Butcher is and was the most powerful force in all of wrestling. DIE YOU REDNECK DIE.
Can you imagine Abdullah (if he was in decent wrestling shape, today, that is) wrestling TODAY'S WWE stars? In my opinion, I don't think people like Triple H, Randy Orton, HBK, and/or Batista, would KNOW what to do!
nah abullah would be able to wrestle with orton cause hes the legend killer. It would just be a mick foley style match but I agree that they would have to adjust their wrestling styles to more of a brawler/stiff style that todays wrestling will never have
Nobody cares. No argument at all. This one just happens to be a match the exact date of which I sure know about and I gave the date, but someone said " No " about it, so I corrected it. That's all. What's wrong with doing so ?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. You're WRONG and completely mistaken. Do you understand Japanese subtitles and commentary on the vid ? Do you understand Kanji Characters at 0:02 ? It says this match took place on 7/7/83. I'm a Japanese, watched the match here in Japan and have the Japanese wrestling magazine WITH ME RIGHT HERE and RIGHT NOW reporting this match. The issue date of the magazine is July, "1983". OK? Plus, Abdullah showed up in NJPW last in JAN. 1985 and NEVER showed up there AGAIN EVER AFTER.
This match took place in July 7, 1983, not 1985. Japan has its own way of naming the new era at the demise of His Majesty the Emperor. The previous era was called "Showa", so the clip shows Showa "58" ,which is 1983. This is a classic bout between two big names in pro-wrestling back then. Murdoch and Abdullah were said to be in the worst terms, I'm not so sure, but they worked real good to show us real professionalism. They are two of my favorites of all-time.
I beleive that he died in 98 or 97.Just before he died ,he was talking with WCW.

stomp them.
