@hardminder Actually Roger and Zapp started with the auto tune in the mid 70's. that was before Miss Houston came along. It's just that no one else used the autotune back then. It seemed to be exclusive to Roger and Zapp.

Sorry man you're wrong. Zapp and Roger used talk box. This is not auto tune (vocoder). Zapp was lip syncing to shape his keyboard sounds.... This is not what -Pain do... By the way the first to use Auto Tune in music was Cher in 1998....
