Funny how people think this is bad when people dont see if there going to take out standard body structure of a car & this may make people think its weak when struck by a side on crash but they would of reinforce the door to with stand side on crashes. Simple really unless you are a igorant person & do not see behind the engineering nor mechanics that go's into this car/door.

This is nice but It's not what you'd call a new technology. Don't forget that BMW did the same to z1 (the z1 was known for it's doors).

i can see so many ways this could go wrong...

door gets stuck in a crash, you die.

depending on if the door goes under the car or in the car, what if you park over a rock? its gonna ruin your car.

power windows break all the time, so now you got a power door to break on ya so you cant even get out... etc etc...

but dang the door is still tight, 007 stuff. that would rock at car shows man

the door has a manual way to open it, and with the doors down (even though u shouldnt be driving like that) it meets standard car height clearence

by the looks of the design when the doors closed it could still accommodate SIPS
