  • i hope you make a come back Mr Spitzer, you got my vote! Sure you did a very stupid thing, but that's between you and your wife.

  • Spitzer should be in the Senate or better yet President. So what he was caught with a prostitute. Does not disaqalify this person to run for high office. What Spitzer does in his private life is own business with the spouse not ours. There is no question Elliot Spitzer is qualified to run for high office and he should not have resigned as gov of New York. My Home State. Spitzer broke a NYC Cardinal Law - New Yorkers Never Quit -

  • Tell this filthy pervert that NOBODY gives a rat's ass what he has to say and to go back to banging the whores. he should be ashamed to show his skeletor face in public, and anyone who hires this rich, spoiled egomaniacal talking pile of crap should have his/her membership to the human race revoked.

  • you're a fool.

  • Mr. Cherkasky also brought Mr. Spitzer into the NYC County DAs office. Today Cherkasky is a substantial contributor to Spitzers campaign for New York State Governor. Cherkasky was bumped up to head Marsh McLennan in 2004.

can't even imagine why a busy guy like spitzer would even bother to take the time to announce how bad the system is. It's a credit to his integrity and high character that he does and it just magnifies the unfairness of people that criticize him.

  • A charade talking about charades.

    Takes one to know one...

  • I would almost prefer politicians that either have had a fall from grace so they don't have to worry about stepping on toes to get re-elected, or those that are massively rich so they aren't beholden to big-money lobbies.

  • Now this is a conspiracy theory I can get behind.

The conspiracy of self perpetuating incompetence. Now THAT is the government I am familiar with!

  • Self perpetuating incompetence was created in the corporate world. Its not a conspiracy theory in corporate America - its a reality.

  • I like Eliot Spitzer. Shame about that hooker business though. :(

  • @Bobbiethejean ...Spitzer is coming back. And this time, having genuinely repented, he will be a very formidable bulletproof mensch.

  • Client 9 is right but if he wants to start war with Wall Street Mafia Boys, he'll keep his emperors fantasies on hold!

  • For those of you who want to hear more explaination of our current economic crisis YouTube Peter Schiff! He's brilliant and called this mess back in 2004

  • Spitzer should run against, and destroy, the Wall Street puppet Barack Obama in the 2012 Democratic primary.

  • great. No he has an opportunity to rat out those who rat him out by exposing the charades.

Now that's good politics and makes for a good politician.

I think they only busted him because he aided Clinton with giving Mexican Drivers License so they can sway her electorial voting for president.

  • SMOM CONTROLS YOUR CHANNEL

  • Makes you wonder if he was exposed because he was so outspoken. Or he is just speaking out because he can now. Was he this blunt about economic/financial matters before the scandal?

  • @grit123

yes he was this out spoken --wall street hated him--and no, it's not a coincidence that he was "exposed" just before all hell broke loose.

It kind of reminds me of how Osama bin Laden made sure he assassinated the leader of the northern alliance just a few days before 9-11.

Cheney/Bush made sure he wouldn't be around to blow the whistle before they pulled the rug out from under us, and they effectively painted Obama into a corner he couldn't escape from...that is, the bail out.

  • Somebody please tell me, is President Obama being blackmailed?

or is he simply the Bush b team and we all got duped?

    What is going on?

Because from all I read, people are getting nothing except broken promises.

It's actually worse as they're sold as solutions.

His supporters will not stomach much more of this. when they leave, these ones will not come back; it is out of disgust.

USA will find herself ruled by bigots and thugs if she is not careful.

All seems capitulation to worst corps lobbies

  • @marsCubed

That would be option B, I believe. :9

Well, Obama isn't a religious hyper conservative like Bush who's openly against stem cell research, gay marriage and abortion.

But when it comes to banking and military and all the other big money makers Obama seems to just be another politician, on the side of big business.

I have a hard time even believing that the US "democratic" system is even able to elect good people as presidents any more.

  • @VolcanicPenguin My previous comment was more of a disappointed moan.

When I was at Uni, I read most of Lenin etc.

Not my politics, but I do understand the dynamics of social forces to some extent.

The classic recipe for fail is raising people's expectations and not delivering.

Even if he loses, he has to be pointing to the reason why, often and clearly. and be seen as a fighter for a positive.

else Dems get seen as the right paint them.

anyone can; not be Bush. (except Bush) It's not enough IMO

  • @marsCubed Brother , You got it this Question Right , It's seems like he is capitulating to a higher Supreme being : either the Stinking GOD or Corporation BOSESS who really run this Show ...

  • @ellisinc The irony is that there is almost universal condemnation of the corp and banking 'excesses' by just about everybody.

The right are famous for it ATM, but it is the left position too.

I would like to start seeing the right betray themselves with their outrage.

There is so much potential for this, that not pursuing it, is almost an admission of precisely what you suggest.

If that is the case, Obama loses me and people like me, then he has nobody except Hilary lovers; all 3 of them.

  • Pres. Kennedy is famous for civil rights legislation, but it was Nixon who signed these into law. Not because he was a nice guy, but because the house was on fire.

Pres. Obama is in a similar fix re; the Fed.

It is up to him whether he is seen as Nero, or whether he gets the hose out to save the day.

In one of these scenarios, dems lose for a generation.

Like Socrates, take them for their word.

    They cringe at the thought.

Many Reps would be shocked if they knew who was pulling strings for whom.

  • marsCubed, not so about Nixon: LBJ signed Kennedy's civil rights legislation into law, most notably the Voting Act of 1965.

  • @Asiablue Thank you, I hate to get things wrong, I think the sense in my point still stands.

I am sure that I recall being told that Nixon signed in something like this though, it was in a lecture so not the kind of thing likely to be too out of synch with reality...

You know it just occurred to me (with Google's help) that it was perhaps the end of the offensive part of the Vietnam war which I am thinking of.

    Thank you.

  • You're welcome. And I agree your basic point stands.

Let me add to the comments above that the biggest threat facing America today is corporatism. Capitalism taken to it's logical extreme is oppressive in practise because it appears justifiable. When people challenge it they are accused of anti-democratic ideas and beliefs.

Capitalism and Democracy are unrelated. Cap. is amorphous and tending to elitism. Dem. is an inclusive system with known, measurable rules, laws and methods.

  • @Asiablue Capitalism is a system in which producers are forced to re invest (capital) for competitive advantage to stay in business.

because competitors do the same, investments soar, returns become uncertain.

Eventually there is saturation and some will fail, investments are lost, unemployment, misery.

recovery is buy-ups, blocks get bigger, so do subsequent crashes.

Democracy enables us to debate and steer around the pit falls. to regulate for sustainable wealth production in a sensible way.

  • We can;

Spot fail early, wind it down sensibly, retrain and invest for sustainability.

Manage blocks which squash us when they fall.

Cool down the rat race with agreements etc.

spread the manure around more evenly.

Problem is that capital is also used to secure returns by buying politicians, who then argue only for the profit motive,

when their priority should be wealth production, soc. & economic safety.

Although obviously, all should have voice.

Profit is not wealth. often It's the opposite.

  • examples;

If we plants a forest, it is expensive, we need to buy land, employ people to plant seedlings etc..

then for 50+ years not a penny in return, if ever, if we want beauty.

    We become wealthier.

Or pulling down a public school to make a car park.

In weeks we could be swimming in cash; pieces of paper to wave in victory.

It is at the cost of an awful lot of wealth.

Wealth is fish in the sea, profit is the boat which clears them out first.

    We need a balance;

    Profit is not wealth.

  • @"people are getting nothing except broken promises."

    Welcome to representative democracy.

  • I served him dinner

  • The laws are not being enforced, it's called "Operation Ignore" for the elites to kepp the ponzi in play, many benefiting at the expense of the many. The illuminati control everything, judges, lawyers, and the tombstone gov. agencies who stand down and don't investigate the crooks because they work for them. Vatican & Rothschild controling the others be low them, just like Hitler, bribes & assassinations. They took down Spitzer, and killed many others. Evil vs. God, they killed Popes

  • Given Obama's unwillingness to purge these Fed bastards, it's a no brainer where the U.S. is headed - down the tubes.

  • Work is over time for hookers. Ha Ha.

  • Thanks

  • Oh, how I wish Spitzer were still governor. Good to see he's still politically active.

  • spitzers on fora? are they doing hooker videos next?

  • Waiting with eager :)
