No one should be killed because of the black gold, but most nations don't see another option. Which there is of course. And Israel was made thousands of years ago. Why should the jews have no place to settle, a place where their religion isn't the minority. It's unfair. The jews never had any big allies, untill now. But that's the point it's not their land. It was given to them by the U.N in 1948 so if you don't know that there is something wrong with you. How would you fell say if Denmark took half of your land? You wouldn't fight back? You clearly don't know much about the middle east. Last time I checked, going across an interntional border (one that is recognized by both your own Lebanese government and by the UN) into another country, killing its soldiers and kidnapping others, completely justifies the retaliation that happend afterwards. And attacking civilians with rockets justifies firing at the sources of fire even if the sources of fire hide within civilian population.
But its, I am used to you arabs living in your own little dream world. Nothing new there.

The only reason less people in Israel were killed was because Hizbollah has a crappy ability to aim, much worse quality missiles and Israel has a much better bomb shelter and early warning systems than what the Lebanese have.
Unlike the cowardly hizbollah, who hide within the heart of civilian population in civilian clothes and fire their weapons from within the homes of innocent people, just so they can use them as human shields.

Hezbollah operates in the south...so if your claim is a fact...then why is it Israeli fighter jets attacked as far up as Tripoli (Northern Lebanon) and bombed entire districts of civilian apartments in the capitol, hundreds of kilometers away from the actual fighting??? ...you sir don't know NOTHING of the true horrors of war. 1/3 of the 1000 that were killed were just innocent kids in Lebanon. Sorry about your relatives, but the ridiculous claims of "entire civilian districts in Beirut" are plain lies - the only district bombed in Beirut was the Hizbollah district. The only area destroyed in Beirut was the Hizbollah HQ. The fact that news agencies only filmed around there (in a Hizbollah orchestrated propaganda fiesta) does not really change the plain truth. Since you seem to claim to have relatives in Lebanon go and check for yourself just how much damage happend in "Beirut Proper".

Had the Lebanese been strong enoguh to resist the Hizbollah to begin with, not a single civilian would have been killed in that war on the Lebanese side.

Last I checked, it was the Hizbollah that built bunkers under civilian homes and fired rockets from within civilian neighbourhoods, and hid with civilian clothing as armed forces inside civilian areas instead of fighting like a military force.
Those are the exact definitions for using human shields.
