You know Ysabella... I've thought about some of your inspirational words as one who offers these kind of thoughts to others. You might no like the fact that I would use your ideas to cause others to understand or work through their own problems. Wondering if you'd be mad if I 'borrowed' your words to help others. Then it dawned on me... would you be mad if I borrowed your rope to rescue a person trapped on a cliff?

It was a lecture about depression, and switching of your attention about your wants, needs, and desires to helping others less fortunate. We all need to remember to look at things in our lives to be thankful about. Every day I am thankful I have shelter from the outdoor elements, food in my belly, and clothes on my back. Life is good!

And maybe if one of this "lost sheeps" would start comparing their personal text comment with the others , they might have a little idea on what self esteem is. dragosc1 obviously, you are having some self esteem or internal problems yourself. Otherwise, why do you take the time to make such a harsh comment to someone who is just trying to do her part in helping others the best she can. She does not charge for her advice or 'wisdom', nor does anyone have to take it. But that is no reason for you to be unkind because you are feeling bad about yourself, or some bad experiences you have had.
And, none of us are her 'lost sheep' praising her for her 'wisdom'. Her real 'wisdom' comes from God, and it is available to you free of charge from God Himself, if you should want it bad enough to fix your own problems. That is why MaryAnne can not tell you what the hell is wrong with you. That is an answer you must answer for yourself. The answer is within your own heart. Look deeper and you will find it. :)

As for my tasting bitterness, I have lived long enough to taste it many times. My strong faith in a Loving God helps me through. My prayer is He will help you also, but you must want help. There are such things as Love, Kindness, Gentleness, Understanding, & Freedom to choose to replace your bitterness.
These characteristics are what helps us survive bitterness. Understand, we are all in this together. You have potential to overcome much of your bitterness. May I suggest you go back and replay MaryAnne's video and concentrate very carefully, on what she is saying. You may want to play it over several times to really grasp her thoughts behind her words. I think you will see none of us are so different inside, and struggle with our own inner feelings all the time.
Pay close attention as to how MaryAnne suggest how we can deal with our inner feelings. I really think if you grasp what she is saying, you will be able to handle your low-self-esteem or maybe give you more confidence in yourself. We all need to always do this. From my point of view, If you love yourself enough(Genuinely), you wouldn't try to attract people who may hinder you and your happiness. Generally people tend to draw in people who they think they deserve. The reason why people with low self-esteem have a trouble surviving in relationships.

i've had low self esteem for a few years now..i've fallen into anorexia and depression...it comes and goes but oh well. i left all my friends behind after moving and they were my confidence,ya know? my backbone. i cried while watching this..thanks for posting it:D it helped for 5 seconds...thats something. :)

From my point of view, If you love yourself enough(Genuinely), you wouldn't try to attract people who may hinder you and your happiness. Generally people tend to draw in people who they think they deserve. The reason why people with low self-esteem have a trouble surviving in relationships.

you know exactly what to say to make people feel better....im 19 and have been through eating disorders for the last almost 8 years and had my own father call me fat today...the last 2 months my mom and i have been doing atkins and i feel like im never good enough, so i saw this video and am trying to flake off what he said to me earlier, to me you are like a mother, a sister, and a friend, from the bottom of my heart, thank you very much for all of you advice:)

I love how you said near the end that we should be polite and try to make someone's day even if we never see the person ever again. I try do that every day =] Just today my boyfriend and I went to the gas station and behind the counter was a girl that looked very sad, I decided to smile at her and say "You're pretty Doreen! Have a good day =D" I didn't know her, but she smiled and we both parted with warm hearts.
