First of all, your personal experiences don't mean anything to anyone else. So tell me how "we" can feel gods presence and explain to me the way he affects "our" daily lives? Secondly, how does god affect peoples lives who are starving to death or dying from AIDS or being raped or over dosing on drugs or are getting heart disease from all the murdered animals they eat? How did god affect 911? Did Allah actually help with that? Why would god care about your life? Why would help you or me?
How many times in a day do you think about how gravity holds you on the earth? How many times do you curse gravity when you trip and fall? Does that mean that your personal experience with gravity does not exist because someone else (like a baby or a child) doesn't realize it exists. The point I am trying to make is that you can do horrible things in the name of the Christian god and have them be justified by the bible. People always deny the bad parts of the bible, they accept he good parts, but don't think about the contradictions. I rarely ever think about gravity, most people don't think about gravity in their day to day lives. It is just there and we accept it as a part of our lives and rarely think about it because we are so used to it. That is a horrible analogy. I don't feel any sort of god around, and you can't compare god to anything but god yet Christian always have to use analogies like we don't understand. And somehow a comparison would make us believe? I don't know, it's ridiculous.

Yes the bibe is full of chaos and distruction. But that is mostly confined to the old testement, the foundation for almost all the major religions. I don't deny that those things happened, my point was that people are sinners, therefore there is no way the bible is 100% god's view of the world. I do not beilieve that the bible is unblemished by the will/ideals/motives of the writers. In the end you believe in God or you don't, you have morals by which you live or you don't!

Thank you very much for your comment. It is in our nature to be evil at times, we all do it, but i have seen more and more radical ideas emerging within the christian community. Worse yet many of them are seen as appropriate and "godly". I see people in my church, hurting others, belittling others, in "gods" name. It makes me sick. This is not the way the vast majority thinks (or so I pray).
I feel that love is the one true universal message, within christianity, that can transend, creed, sexuality, race, gender, etc. That is what christians need to strive for, more than anything else. Especially more than proving they are right!

We are all lucky to be alive. Choas surrounds us everyday, we never know what might happen. But we live our lives anyway! That's cool. I have my beiliefs and you have yours, thats the way the world is. Not everyone believes that rocky road is the best icecream flavor, does that mean it is or is not? It is a choice, a belief, a preference. We coexist on this planet and no one should be force feed "rocky road ice cream" so to speak.
I don't believe in force feeding religion, I wound hope to share my moral beliefs and my ideas of right and wrong and share with my children how I view God. I don't believe in force feeding anything, more often than not it leaves you looking like a hypocrite and it doesn't work! I know way too many people that grew up in the church that were not allowed anything but "rocky road" and they wound up turning their lives 180 in the opposite direction their parents had intended.

Positive thinking is a good thing, when not taken too far. Gernerally I would have to say respect is enough! Because if you respect someone you generally do accept them as a person, but at the same time you may be able to disagree with some one and still respect their view without accepting it as your own! You claiming that God loves things like sexual sin and belief systems that call Him a liar or reject Him entirely is nothing short of you creating your own god - one that does not exist! @roxman777 I have never claimed that God loves sin. But he lovers all sinners no matter the offense. If people ask His forgiveness, they will be saved through Jesus. I think you missed the point of the video. I believe in acceptance of all people no matter what walk of life they come from. That doesn't mean you have to agree with or accept all their behavior. Does Jesus not express the importance of loving one another? Does he not love the wayward son? The lost among the flock?

Every Christian I have ever met has the typical holier-than-thou attitude. ALL Christians think they are better than everyone else who is not Christian weather or not they realize it. Well, I'm an atheist, but if this'll at least convince people to actually follow the faith they claim to believe in and actually know what in the blue hell they claim to believe in, then great. I wouldn't be so darn upset about this religion or faith or whatever you want to call it if people didn't use it as a tool to do such horrible things to such nice innocent people, especially considering it goes against their religion/faith. @stfwho I totally agree that people in general need to be better! I am a christian but I lok at many of the people who claim to do things in the name of their religion that are horrible. Many of them claim "Godliness" and yet do everything to the contrary to what they claim to believe. I mean we are all hypocrites by nature. We see things in other people that upset us, and many times it is because we know deep down we do many bad things too.

The point I am trying to make is that you can do horrible things in the name of the Christian god and have them be justified by the bible. People always deny the bad parts of the bible, they accept he good parts, but don't think about the contradictions. You want a story of a happy loving god to make you feel warm and fuzzy inside, but it's just mythology. If god is real, I doubt he is as stupid and sadistic as the god of the bible. Thank you :)

I rarely ever think about gravity, most people don't think about gravity in their day to day lives. It is just there and we accept it as a part of our lives and rarely think about it because we are so used to it. That is a horrible analogy. I don't feel any sort of god around, and you can't compare god to anything but god yet Christian always have to use analogies like we don't understand. And somehow a comparison would make us believe? I don't know, it's ridiculous.

Yes the bibe is full of chaos and distruction. But that is mostly confined to the old testement, the foundation for almost all the major religions. I don't deny that those things happened, my point was that people are sinners, therefore there is no way the bible is 100% god's view of the world. I do not beilieve that the bible is unblemished by the will/ideals/motives of the writers. In the end you believe in God or you don't, you have morals by which you live or you don't!

I don't believe in force feeding religion, I wound hope to share my moral beliefs and my ideas of right and wrong and share with my children how I view God. I don't believe in force feeding anything, more often than not it leaves you looking like a hypocrite and it doesn't work! I know way too many people that grew up in the church that were not allowed anything but "rocky road" and they wound up turning their lives 180 in the opposite direction their parents had intended.

I believe that no one religion is 100% correct and most all of them have very good aspects, but religion in and of itself is man made and flawed, therefore usually corupt! I believe in faith, God (a higher power, what ever that may mean to you) and prayer! Prayer whether it corresponds to a god in reality or not is a positive thing. It is a way of working through your problems and staying possitive. I believe in a God that wants to answer my prayers.

I am also some what of a realist, I can hope for peace in the middle east, for starvation to be wiped from the earth, for people to start respecting each others views and each other no matter how different they are, but the fact is none of these things will ever happen (at least in my life time, and most likely not for many life times) but does that mean that we should give up hope? Stop trying? I think not.

THe one thing i hate about some of these guys is that the bible is full of holes, and they clame it is so their faith is tested, and yet they find one inconsistancy in evoluion, and the theory is "compleatly untrue"

Okay... First of all...
Is this video against Radical Christians or Christians in General. I have to agree that Alot of radical christains need to rethink their strategies, but for the most part, Christains DO NOT TRY TO FORCE anyone to beleive in God. It is up to the person to decide that for themselves.

Well if you watch the video that should be apparent! I think that there are alot of people who give Jesus a bad name and simply hide behind there religion rather than take responsibility for thier own sins. Who are we to judge anyone? Jesus had a messege of love. To love each other. We need more love in this world! Many Christians do force feed there ideas on people. It is up to the person to decide, but many christians use a "war" mentality when it comes to spreading their messege.

God does not hate homosexuals, he dose not agree with it. Those are two very different things. You can love some one and not like everything they do. I have friends who smoke and I happen to disagree with smoking, but that doesn't make them any less of a person or make them any less my friend.

Its not just religious people it is people in general that are hypocrits. I don't belive in religion, because religion is backwards and man-made. We are all to messed up to try and lead each other. I belive in God and I belive that he is the only one I need to account to.
