Whether it’s true or not do you really want to temp something that can destroy both the body and soul? Far from being a prophet, Moses was a mass murderer, as was Jacob who followed, at least according to the biblical account. The genocidal tirades of moses have led me to question why the Jewish people lament the horrific treatment by the nazis yet celebrate the "triumph" of moses in the passover celebration. Many I have asked have come to terms, and dismiss Moses, but love the festival and the traditions. Others have not.
