  • Also when you file a complaint with internal affairs against an officer with either one or a few in rather or not its unfounded , they may not get their promotion or a raise. Although if wrong they can sue for the max in civil proceedings. Not an attorney just know the ins & outs.

  • Part 2: If you inform them of the problem this will certainly go on the officers' record for a long time. If its true then, there would be no recourse for the officer to come back on you for a civil claim, however if your in the wrong then filing a complaint may not be the thing to do.

  • PART 1:It is a mistake alright but certainly not an honest one as Someone as a professional enough knows that does not make since. especially if you got a ticket then they cant go back and say its an honest mistake and you shouldn't have to move for someone to do the right thing. If the officer gave you a ticket with the speed your going , It will prove you were in the right but courts are bios of course but you can certainly inform internal affairs on this officer (aka IA).

  • Could it at all be possible that its just an honest mistake?

  • im going to go out on a limb and think they want to keep the traffic flowing through there and stop a back up.

  • thinking about it logically one would assume that the speed limit through a construction site is 35mph unless otherwise stated by a road sign.

  • Maybe it's time you move to another city. Gee you ever think of that? Duh. Just like the Iraqi's and Palestinians. Don't want blown up? Move. Simple.

  • anyway to make some $ for the dirty system

  • If that sign was posted on a sign post on the side walk, then it applies, if its on the A frame like that, its different, You should alway drive the posted speed limit, the other signs posted on a frames or construction site are advised speed limit. I guess these construction guys didnt read the posed speed limit first, heck we have some two way streets that looks like the one you have with a 45mph speed limit

  • Your right. It was one of the many dirty tricks they use. I know someone who works for the D.O.T., and he told me himself that they use various "tactics" to create more ticket revenue from parking tickets etc... This was not really news, but coming from an insider who works for them puts a different light on it.

  • I think the construction worker was an idiot that put up the sing :P nice catch though. i didn't realize speeds could go up during construction.

  • The same reason we have school zone times that have nothing to do with the time the kids get out, in small towns around Houston. The city of South Houston may have 3 times for one school and they change without notice.

  • in phx az on I-10 they have radarvan(scamvans) and photo scamcams and the speed limit changes from 75-65 to 55, this just seems to be confusing drivers not making it more safe..im sure people get poped in the 55 as they dont realize the sudden speed limit change,,,

  • sounds plausible - its all about the green\readies\mooly\dosh\Geld etc etc etc

  • Good for catching that, dude. They'll be making some ducats today from fining the ones who didn't.

Glendale = "Fe, Fi, Fo, Fum. I smell the blood of a citizen!", lol.

  • ofcourse their criminals! at least the high ups are forsure!
