She sings of the deepest of human hopes... that tomorrow will be a better day... that if we just believe it.... can make it come true. I always think of 1968 when I hear this song. All that's past and what 10 generations from now will feel. I hope we leave them something worth having.
beyonce did a wonderful job in the movie about the record co. and sang those songs damn well and no one on earth is a bigger fan of etta than me.i have been a fan of etta since 1954.can you top that,i don't think so.etta should be proud she represented her in the movie.there are folks now who know etta that before beyonce they had no clue about her at all.so as little richard would say to those that knock beyonce for doing the tunes..shut up///
