Dear Maestro Koshkin,

Has Judicael made a commercial CD recording of your 1st Guitar Sonata? If so, what is the catalogue # and label. I would absolutely love to buy a copy.

@6silverbeams To be honest, I don't know. He didn't tell me anything. So probably not. But Gabriel Bianko did the recording. He put my Sonata on his Naxos CD. The CD is released already, I guess.

@6silverbeams Elena Papandreou (whom the work is dedicated to) did the first recording on her all Koshkin CD on the BIS label # CD-1236. It's a very powerful recording with a Romanillos guitar. It was my first exposure to the Sonata and the beginning of my infatuation with it. As far as I know, Elena Papandreou and Gabriel Bianco are the only two who have recorded it. Judicael's performance sure is spectacular though!

I own it and love it so much, but I find Judicael's performance much more powerful.

Mr Koshkin, I was waiting for such music on guitar for years, thank you so much for writing this masterpiece!

I am - painfully but worty :) - working on it (would that be re-redited one of these days?)

That was awesome. I finally got see what I looks like to play the Koshkin Sonata. Thanks so much for uploading this and other awesome Koshkin works. I have the score to this and plan on playing it during graduate school.
