I have spent an afternoon trawling through covers of this beautiful song and it is difficult to do a bad version, although some are better then others. The Cocteau Twims/This Mortal Coil is outstanding . The Czars cover is also one to treasure with the purity of the voice and the beautiful melodic variations. Tim Buckleys early version on the Works Progress album may even surpass the album version. I would not rate Plants verson to highly as less is best with this song, never Plants strong suit.
doesnt matter the artist whom covers this song..this song is a complete master piece, which creates an ocean of emotions that run through the human soul on an unexplain profound feeling. thats whay great songs like this only come once in long time and no one can ever out do the other no mater who many artist cover it. the song and melody are and will always give the listener that bitter sweet almost teary feeling.
This song was written by Tim Buckley in 1968 if anyone is interested. Robert Plant will appear on tenor Alfie Boe’s latest collection, Alfie. The opera star and Plant combine on Tim Buckley’s 1968 piece, Song To The Siren. Plant previously recorded Song to the Siren in 2002’s Alfie, with his then band Strange Sensation, and Plant has often talked about the song as a favourite of his. Now it appears it will get a different treatment.
Dime si he de volver a verte alguna vez...solo dime...
Tell me if I ever see you again ... just tell me .. perfect feeling and a strange feeling I invade.ninguno and all have recognized me and you ... Hido your love where are you? Only one is accompanying my way and know He already is pure dulduza, the take away my pain, give me strength to go on is the Christ that is why I ask you .. if you love when you've to see me again .. .
Just heard this last week - evidently folx have been covering it for 40 years. I feel like I nearly missed out on one of the most beautiful things in the world.

He's so handsome and nostalgic. When he sings this song it really seems like my whole soul is shining around me.

I love this song. A beautiful song about the allure/tragedy of temptation. I think Plant knows of what he sings and he does a great job.

This is hellish, especially his "unfold" which makes no sense at all. "enfold" lol.
