Uhh actually no you couldnt. There are songs that have open notes on the E string when the E string is tuned down to a D or something. How are you supposed to go that low if it's still tuned to E. You cant. End of story

True, you know what really makes a song Metal? It's a little known fact but all you need is an Auto Harp, a Tambourine & a shitty 8-bit sample of an Anvil hit. Honestly though, everybody gets hung up on categorizing music into Genres & Sub-Genres, I figure if you dig a song it doesn't matter if Rolling Stone files it under Post-Hardcore Symphonic Zydeco Grind it doesn't change whether you feel the song or not. That's how I look at it, I might be right or wrong but it works for me.

Creepy, I hope you weren't hiding in the refridgerator with a tack hammer waiting for me to reach in for a Vanilla Coke...The Dual Rec Rackmount and the 5150 II are hands down my favorite amps as the gain structure on them compliment one another so well. If you are multi-tracking guitars, and the Mesa's Low End is a bit boomy, roll it off a bit and bring up the Low End on a 5150 II track and get some "Resonance" dialed in to fill up those Low-Mid holes in the mix.

Yeah the whole tuning up a 7-String a half step makes most people just confused. "Why tune up when everybody else tunes down?" I tell them "It is kind of the same thing, like B# & C natural."
