Castlevania is a great game series, sure, but Contra has been with us since the very beginning and it has never failed to bring us the epic gameplay and under-rated, heart-pounding action we all know and love (with minimal exception). It more than deserves a next-gen title AND it's own movie. Seriously, what Contra fan hasn't wanted a Contra movie?

You said PSN initially. PSP is more reasonable and if that is what you meant then ignore my last comment. The DS has a way more smooth and responsive D-pad which is something that is vital for a game like this. The PSP has a good d-pad for some games but really it would not work for this. And just buy a DS. It's cheap and it's fantastic.

Well it could work for sure but games like this just work much better on the DS. It is more comfortable and the controls work better. The PSP is a powerhouse and nothing else. It does console gaming on the go. The DS does everything else. So if a game is not a graphics orianted game or a full fledged 3d outing then it is almost always better off on the DS.

The PSP is good but the DS is just so much better.

Gaming wise it's a powershouse and nothign else. It does have other fucntions but it is much like a swiss army knife. It does everythign but nothing well. The ipod plays music better, the computer browses the internet better and the DS plays games better. I happen to have all those other things so I don't need a PSP for any other reason but gaming and as it only has about 10 good games (compared to the 25 good ones I have for the DS) I don't play it very much.
