@ 0:44 you can see the building wanted to stay standing. There is no way it would have fallen without aid. Hell, the "spire" was strong and it was intact in the south tower... until something turned it to dust.
A falling pile driver cannot desintegrate in itself.
When a mass is falling down it has less weight than a mass wich is static..
