  • Thank you for the video. My brother has modified his exhaust and yours looks way way better. He did modify the seat and put lowering brackets on shocks so his sits quite a bit lower. Thanks again.

  • @stinkingdog101 You're welcome. I actually modified the seat too, but did it through meancitycycles. It rides a little lower than the original but way more comfortable.

  • Nice sound, how much do they cost on average ? BTW Nice looking bike. Does your bike block serial # start with a EN500, or Like mine EX500. Mine is an 2004 model LTD . Thinking maybe they used the Ninja EX500 case on mine.. ?..Thank''s, yl

  • @ylism Thank you! It actually reads EN500, it is a 2009, the last year the Vulcan 500 were produced.

This exhaust mod was about $80, with the parts bought used on eBay - for the clamps I used the original ones which came with the bike.

  • @tidejp Thank's for your reply. That's not a bad price for the exhaust. Also I have found that some of the En500 bikes say EN500 on the case, Like yours does, and EX500 like mine. They must have used what they had in stock, knowing production would cease in 2009. Again let me say, Your bike looks great ! The person I bought mine from let it get corroded a bit, On the clutch cover. It can be fixed by buffing & polishing. Just takes some time & money..lol Take care, yl

  • I am not sure the year of the Dyna but they are definitely not that old - I can check and post the exact model later. AS for the mid-range it still there, I just noticed the EN500 started backfiring when letting go of the throttle so I believe I need to rejet the carbs.. (and sorry, I guess I deleted your comment by mistake while trying to edit my answer to you)

  • Nice sound byte on the 500. Are those later year Dyna pipes? Did you lose any mid-range by adding the Dyna pipes?

  • What year and type are the Dyna exhaust? like a wide glide? also, did you have to rejet the carbs at all?

  • @juddadam2 Hi, thanks for commenting. I will have to check and post the info later but I think I will have to reject the carbs some time soon because of the backfiring when letting go of the throttle
