@BarBi3Skittles Cake Decorators don't wear gloves. I am a Cake Decorator and don't know many at all who wear them. It isn't required. Just got to keep the hands clean.

Most chefs don't wear gloves.. it would be so much more difficult to work with them on - as long as you keep your hands clean and wash them frequently there's nothing unsantiary about it.

I absolutely LOVE this show. They are so talented. But, it so grosses me out when they don't wear plastic gloves. So unsanitary!

Actually, it's more sanitary if you don't wear gloves and wash your hands a LOT. Because often with gloves we doesn't realize something is on our hands, or we've wiped our face with a gloved finger, and so we forget to wash as much. Plus, if they're wearing gloves and don't realize they have a staining agent on their hands, it could spell disaster if they accidently mark the cake.
