  • Only a kid could believe that carrying a motorcycle on your back was going to enhance your combat skills.

  • Wow, they went all out.

  • for some reason this reminds me of the 80's

  • i have that toy longggg ago.. i am 36 now.. i wish i had kept it..

  • Sounds like the 50cc moped.

  • Had it :).

My dad represented that toy line in New England.

  • The transformation step by step.

  • i'd sad it once i'll say it again..

the Japaneses have it better stuff than us !!!!!

  • IT SCOTT BERNARD! THE BIGGEST FEET IN THE WEST! I still have this toy and I gotta tell you. That toy has bigger feet than any of my Macross or Robotech toys.

  • @katanaburner That means he's packin' a lot of junk!

  • i love the cyclone riders from robotech as a kid thought i had all the robotech toys as a kid but i dont remeber that one

  • One of the best -- and worst -- toy commercials I've ever seen. Highly cheesetastic!

  • Perhaps, but a toy commercial without cheese is emotionally dead not to mention boring :)

  • Thanks....never have seen this ad before.

  • did you know that the japanese boxed version is the only one that has firing missles!

  • dont sell it now lol, the price would fetch crazy high in like 10 years XD

  • I just bought one on ebay and it's in the box, can't wait to get it! This toy rules! My Brother just purchased the masterpiece for 180. I payed 100. for my classic gakken. The masterpiece is nicely detailed but very cheep! I would rather have the gakken.

  • Aww man when I was a little dumbass this show rocked and this toy was at Toys R Us but for the price I could get two Transformers toys and something else so that's what I did. Regretted it ever since...Cyclones were the best idea ever...

  • I have this toy in the box still! selling it on ebay soon xD

  • how much u wanna sell it? i had it too when i was 7 yrs old back in the 80's, do let me know if u wanna sell it or if u have other stuff like transformers, mask, robotech centurions or any toys from the 80's

  • I still have mine with the box w00t!

  • Mospeada rules! The mech and gear designs are simply awesome!

  • WHAT AN AWESOME COMMERCIAL! Though I had that toy, but I didn't keep it "alive" for long. I was a bit destructive. Though I wish I kept it. It was a nice toy I had now that I am grown.

  • what r u talking about guilleorochi? This thing seems like an awesome toy for any transforming toy lover. lol.

  • I still have mine in its box. The box is a little beat up but the toy is pretty mint! =]

  • fuck... never arrive to my country...

  • lol!!!

  • i could never get this thing to transform right.

  • Eh, it doesn't transform the way it does in the show. But hell, the fact that it can transform at all is good enough.

  • Hey! I have one of those! Got it from the late, great Iron Horse toy shop in Berkeley, California back in the '80s...

  • my big bro had one, it wa hella hard to transform

  • What an awesome ad! It makes me want to go out and buy one of these cool looking robotic warriors.

  • Still have my Scott Bernard Ride Armour. One of my better purchases back in the 80's. Have the smaller plastic Rook, Lance & Rand figures and cyclones. Sigh... still want to be a Veritech pilot.

  • The closest that I ever got to owning one of these was Monogram's Cy-Kill model kit, which was a recolored VR-41 Cyclone. The face that came with it was Yellow/Lancer right down to the headband and lock of hair, but molded in silver.

  • This is a pretty awesome time to be a Mospeada fan.

Three different companies are making NEW Ride Armors.

1/18 CM's which are out now.

1/15 Megahouse's which will be out soon.

1/10 Beagle's which should be out in the near future.

Let's hope they all stand up to the ALMIGHTY 1/8 Gakken's old school bad assery.

  • nice!

  • my god! u can't get toys as good as this nowadays.

Is it still possible to buy this now>? Have they re-manufactured for us who grew up in the 80's?

  • lol

  • Did they make toys of the "Grab" aliens though? Those things looked cooler in the show than the Mospeadas.

  • Only Matchbox made any Inbit/Invid toys for their Robotech line, Gakken just made lots of different sized Ride Armor and Legioss toys.

  • "Gakken just made ... Ride Armor and Legioss toys."

    Yeah, and that's a pity.

(Actually, the Matchbox Invid Shock Trooper was kind of decent. Unfortunately, the MB "Invid Scout" was no such thing; just a scaled-down Shock Trooper with no guns and a magenta paint job.)

How sweet would a modern, Bandai-High-Grade level line of Invid/Inbit kits be?

  • FUCKING BADASS

  • i had one of those when i was very very little it ended with a broken leg...now i want to kill myself

  • I remember seeing one of these at K-mart back in the 80s when I was younger. I remember thinking that the body design of the Robotech toys were really sleek. They were the only toys that could give Transformers a run for the money. I decided not to ask my parents for it though, because I hated the head and face designs.

  • I feel ripped off! I had one of those when tey came out but mine never moved on it's own!! damn it

  • Ah, but will they have a TV commerical to compare to this one (or a TV commerical at all)?

  • Bought one of these when I was ten, still have it! It's just as cool as it looks, but yeah the rider does not fit on the cycle well at all. Not that I care, mine stays in armor mode most of the time anyway. :)

  • That's hot i want one.

  • yo kiero unooooooooooooooooo

  • yo estuve a punto de tener uno!!!!! no es justo!!!!

  • I have the exact same toy but it can't bend the legs like in the commercial, so riding it is impossible. Maybe they used a prototype for the commercial.

  • i want that background music

  • I want this!!!!

    What a friking cool toy!!!!!!

  • Great video thanks!

  • Best commercial ever!

  • I love this.. I had one of these when I was a kid... but as I remember, the tail pipes were never chromed... not on the japanese or international releases. Perhaps this is a prototype? In fact, I don't think Gakken ever used chrome, not on their "Mospeada" toys or any other toy line.

  • THANKS FOR POSTING THIS I WANT A COPY!!

  • Wow Nice 80s Commercial

  • OHHH!

    I want that toy!!! @_@

    IMPRESIONANTE!

  • I used to have that toy.

  • Cool!

  • Excelente video...XD

  • Excelente video...una obra de arte los Mospeada y legioss...Gracias por el video.

  • wow! so rare!
