  • the only thing stopping me getting this is it has no hydration port

    kind regards

  • Great review! Looks like a cool bag, thanks!

  • Why not look into getting a Crumpler for your SLR camera and Lens?? Thant's what I plan on doing after college.

BTW. Thanks for the review. I was actually looking at this and the Timbuk2 Q or the H.A.L

  • I'm saving for the surge!

only thing I'm apprehensive about is the bag on the front. Why does it open so weird? Other than that I like it. Nice review!

  • thats a cool bag, ive been looking for one that can fit a 17" laptop but has padding, most of the bags i've seen only have the laptop sleeve but no padding

  • Hey Chris, nice review. I have a question for you, where did you purchase the add-on SLR padding that you were talking about? I am going to get this bag and looking to do the same thing.

  • Actually I paid the common price. Not sure what you are talking about.

  • Can you tell me how long and how width is the back-panel of this bag?

  • 20" x 13.5" x 9.5"

  • Just bought the grey surge online for $89.99

  • Thanks man, nice review. I'm a shorter guy, and really appreciated the info on the size of the bag. Nice job.

  • thanks this video is helpful.

  • I love the surge. I would very much recommend it.

  • hehe i just got the green one and I love it!! great review i got mine for the same price :D

  • I am loving it, I have been using it everyday. I have used it as my daily commuter bag and a week long trip in Michigan and Canada.

  • what color is that one

  • It is the grey version. The black was just too dark for my taste.

  • thanks for the detail review!!!

  • Sweet Chris, We are all North Face here, Have two bags for my personal use. The Heckler and the Racon. Enjoy the Surge. Give us an update after some use to let us know how it worked out for you.
