Did E. abdicate & fake a roll to position himself to mitigate harsh subjugation of England in future? In 1940, did his words & dangerous wandering from Paris to Provence to Portugal, offer himself as “bait”, hoping to delay Hitler’s invasion past summer & radar setup?- Hitler did delay. --Did Edward's desperate acts save Britain?

If Edward VIII was indeed a trator to his country, itis because he did have enough courage to shake loose the Yankee Whore and take up his country's cause as an ally of Germany, or at least to keep his country neutral in the comming struggle on the Continent. Todays Great Brtiain would be so much better of if history had taken a different turn and most British today now know that.

I also say that thank goodness history happened as it did---for if Edward been allowed the throne----WWII would have been different and this shallow couple would have been responsible for a whole lot worse then they are already guilty of. @808Lana Lana, in fact she WAS called the "Whore of Baltimore at the type. The British public hated her for taking their Prince away from him. She had to leave London on fear of her life. And, sorry, IMHO she WAS a golddigger. @bulked This man was a nazi sympathiser who wrote to Hitler praising him for bombing England. He wanted Hitler to win the war so he could be reinstated as King. Wallis was in contact with Ribbontropp and both gave away vital war secrets. His best friends were fascists and nazis. He was a traitor and a coward unlike the King and Queen who remained in Britain loyal to the people.

Very interesting documentary. Disregarding whether wrong or right, it is to be noted that by beginnings of 1930, there was great sympathy for Germany in the Swedish court. It was well knows by everyone that the Swedish King sympathized with the Nazi regime.
