i think that is also a factor in them having to put a law on the drug and if she can not take care of the children they will soon be taken from her and put in foster care to some who can support them
but some of these familes should not put some of the reponseablitly on the community because they decided to use the drug and should have been propared for the result of their actions also "octomom" should have been alot more reponseible on her part because she is a single mother with no job and relying solely on the donations of the commmunity which i think is lazy because she could at least try to get a job.
i say this because we all know the population and birth rate in this country is growing rapidly and its only a matter of time till they will have to put limits on how many kids you have like china. also i think that they might soon have to put a law on the uses of the fertiliy drugs becasue the families that do have multipual births already have to rely on the community and donation for help

also some families need fertility assistance to have children. if they have quads, quints, sext, octuplets, then great, they were meant to be. however, fertility drugs should be given out only after severe screening so we don't get anymore attention whores like octo'mom'
but the Wilkinsons were blessed with quints and did nothing wrong

In 2009, the US fertility rate was around 2.09. Historically, the fertility rate for sustaining a population is around 2.3. Fortunately, mortality rates are also declining so that keeps us at a relatively constant population but it is definitely not rapidly growing as you suggest.
