Agree absolutely- didnt realise at the time but now cant stop listening to the basslines. Was the band the attractions on the original- heard the band were hughy lewis and the news for the orig recording
The best of my knowledge...it was Huey Lewis's band on Costellos' first band, but minus Huey Lewis. Only on Watching The Detectives was it The Attractions...whom you see in this video on that first album. From the second album on, it was The Attractions.
We had a bar band in Portland, Johnny and the Distractions, whose name I think obviously was inspired by The Attractions. They absolutely kicked ass. Concert-hall intensity in bars. Still have their albums on vinyl.
@brianallancobb I really agree with that statement, I think Steve really made himself a vital musician to Elvis though-- they've had a long and fruitful working relationship, I'm sure you agree.
I know there is a lot underground that's brilliant these days, but what happened to lock out guys like him from the entire pursuit of making sheer brilliance like he did? It's obvious that there's been a de-facto ban on all of them in music anyway. Are they all writing code somewhere? Maybe they have a co-op weed garden on street money and they're being foodies or something.
Estimated friend, if you want to listen again this song and an endless number of successes of the love I suggest you to visit Radio MUSICA PARA MIMOS - looks for his direction URL in Google ( search Musica para Mimos in Google)-. best romantic music of all the times in Internet, is great, is very good ...!!!
