Omg guys the masked man is Obito, because when Minato striked him with the Flying Raijin, Level 2 his hand began to fall off as the same or familiar goo to Zetsu's. Zetsu took and constructed Obitos body as chains as you saw when his hand was falling off. Later in episode 140-Fate the same masked man is now dressed in long sleeves with armor or padding underneath as a result of Minato's blow to him. And his mask has a fat strap with padding that supports or holds the back of his head.

This was one of the first Naruto episodes that I actually had emotion for and cried for. Even though Obito was in one episode in the entire series, I felt like I knew him for a very long time and when he gave up his life, I was crying a river. What's even worse is, I was so upset that Obito never told Rin how he felt about her. At least Kakashi told her Obito's feelings, but it's just not the same. It's too depressing :(

Madara is Tobi, but possibly he has to inhabit an Uchiha body to live. So if that is the case, then it is possible that Madara posesses Obitos body, and that even if perhaps Obito is indeed still very much dead, his body is still among the living. If Obito is indeed still alive within his body and/or mind, but is being controlled by Madara, then I think the only possible way for him to live in the long run would be if his body was healed before he regained control of it.
