These are FANTASTIC! Cooked in the water, shredded & then cooked with the veggies, the meat is just wonderful, flavorful, and perfect! Served on the Arepas, it was the closest thing to eating something from heaven! I made them using corn muffin mix the1st time; the 2nd time I used corn meal pancake mix; both were great! I did add some grated romano cheese. I am not Venezuelan at all; I'm a North American mutt of 8 different nationalities - mostly North Europe & the British Isles. PLZ try these!
@tipsdebelleza en costa Rica (asumo que eres de Costa Rica por decir "Ocuparon" en vez de utilizaron o necesitaron) puedes conseguir la Harina Pan en Automercados e Hipermas, pero si no consigues, la marca Donarepa (Colombiana) te sirve perfectamente.
Muy interesante video, el guisado que preparararon para rellenar las Aepas, en Mexico se llama ROPA VIEJA, a nosotros mi madre nos los servia con una gusrnicion de frijoles refritos y una ensalada de pepino con aguacate y jitomate; y no podian faltar en la mesa las tortillas de maiz. Tambien cuando sobraba un poco de guisado, nos hacia FLAUTAS, que son tortillas de harina rellenas con ROPA VIEJA y queso y las ponia al comal para que se doraran, pero sin aceite.
I think a lot of us are confused because we can't find this brand and that it looks like "masa harina nixtamalizada"
