Not enough throttle and should have fought the roll to the right. Personally, I would like to be well off the ground before throttling back like that.
It looks to me like he initially pushed out too hard during the rotation and then pulled back which let the trike settle back down to runway where it simply porpoised and popped the nose up in the air.
He cut some power yes but that is a twin place craft, should fly with that setting well enough...He even pulls in the bar to near his chest, doen not push out...wing seems to mush down anyway...Wrong CG or wind/rotor/gradient effect? He fails yes, to vigorously fight he right turn, in fact it seems he leans into it..!!.
Interesting. Gotta keep that thing full throttle on the take off. Is this throttle foot controlled or just a slide I wonder. Would have had it no problem had he had full throttle. ...
Hope he was ok. Worst time to loose the power. However i think that it could have still been landed safely ahead. But i wasnt there so i cant say for sure.
I have had some lessons and thinking of doing my solo when I can get some time off. Was this accident just a matter of cutting back on the throttle? I use to think I could fly with no lesson but after getting up in the air with an instructor I learned real quick it was not as easy as I thought but really fun once I got the hang of it. Take the time and get at least few lessons under your belt.
haha, what a noob

He pulled back when he should have pushed out. One wonders whether he had trike instruction. You push out to go up and pull in to go down in a trike.

Clearly, he had no idea what he was doing. He looked like he hadn't had any previous instruction at all.Luckily he didn't get any higher than he was.

Oooooops.
That angle of attack should have bled off much of the forward motion and reduce pilot injury.
