  • Or you could just sell the whole thing to a scrap dealer; in my experience, they don't care whether one has separated the metals or not.

  • the majority of microwave transfomers are made of alloy wire its not worth the time

  • @FUCKZIONISM666 Yep its all aluminum wire with a copper coating, usually is not all the way coated if you look close. If you had 10 tons yep its worth it, but not one at a time.

  • easy way to remove use some type of cuttng wheel in a drill cut through the copper windings on one side and using heavy pliers or pry blade lift them out other side in 2 minutes falt ! No matter what size transformer or motor you have ! I just took copper winindings out of two washing machines motors total weight was 10 lbs $3.50 a lb thats $35 plus the metal of both machines weight 500 lbs at .12 cents a lb $60 more $ and the rest of copper connections on switches another $3.50

  • Some of these recycle rats just dont get it. Here is how you make money recycling copper!!!! Ready??? get all the pennies from 1981 and earlier,,,1982 and newer are 95 percent zinc and 5 percent copper,,,,the older ones are 95 percent copper, 5 percent zinc. Take pounds of pre 1982 pennies,, melt them down. Oh 150 pennies = 1 lb, copper = $3 per lb at the scrap yard,,,so double your money,,,go to the bank get rolls of pennies and start separating the copper from zincs,,it often takes $ 2 make $

  • @420onoff yea but keep it on the dl, now theres too many coin hunters

i cant find no silver coins no more, but yea think of a homeless guy he problly have or goes thur a ton of pennys....

  • Why waste a transformer? Transformers that large are quite expensive....

  • @MrWreeve

  • I Hate this Type of music ... how anoying, video game sounds lol

  • The transformer you are showing is from a microwave and a lot of them actually have aluminum wire not copper. Just so you know.

  • Thanks 4 vid... ;)

  • Can you recycle the copper that seems like it is red?

  • @LockerzManInvites yes it's coated coipper wire goes as # 2 copper .20 cents less a lb but use your head and get # 1 price !

  • @senseblogger what if i burn the insulation off of it?because lets face it stripping takes way to damn long

  • @LockerzManInvites yes its just a coating

  • ETC. NOT ECT.

  • computers, AC units, large quantities to go and pick up, it is out there I have people bring it to me......IT Ecycler

  • yeah clean easy and super fast works every time for me!!

  • new to scrapping and would like advice on what metals are best to scrap? where are they at ? (TV'S microwaves, computers) ect....I appreciate it.... take it to scrsap yard and they are talking about clean, and irony aluminum, so confused

  • @kukoc7676 best for me its copper however it is hard to find and hard to get at but save it uo over time and it will all add up. i normally just get applicences from my city i can fill a 14" by 7" trailer with fridges washer dryers stoves ect in about 2 weeks i then harvest the motors copper piping alumiun into diffrent piles then takt the applicences in for scrap. they go under white goods which is paying$197.50 a ton ( 2250 lb) last load was $106.87 in just the empty fridges. pmmetotalkmore.

  • Good video, stupid music!

  • Great video, however it only works on small transformers. That one in particular had spot welds on the joints, so 30 second pass with a grinder would have opened the transformer up like a book. I used to clean the transformers out of industrial lighting, trying to cut the windings off those transformers with a chisel is impossible.
