I am incredibly sad to see john leave the band as he is easily the best guitarist I have ever seen, but I feel that there is no better man than Josh to put in his place. He has experience if playing with the chilis and is already a good friend of the band. All I hope is that the band doesn't turn into the mess they were after john left the first time. Here's hoping they won't as josh will be a much better chili than dave navarro.

John had a rly high pitch singing voice. I checked out sound of Josh Klinghoffer and its a big difference. But i think it will do great with his mellow songs and give their songs a smoother edge. I think it will be mutch better, but im still going to miss John

And Chad Smith is one of the greatest drummers out there, with a great sense of song. I doubt he doesn't have a few ideas.

Couldn't agree more. Without John, the rest of these guys couldn't find a melody if their lives depended on it. Before John, they were more or less a novelty act who were capable of dishing out a bit of white funk but that's about it. Keidis struggles to remain in key, Flea is a decent bassist but again , he can't write melody, and drummers are interchangeable. I think he tends to keep Keidis from becoming too pretentious , as well. Anthony can become cringe worthy at times.

Still it's hypocritical, but in the end the only thing that matters is that Frusciante got his life back together.

John and Anthony weren't on good terms when John entered rehab, so do you think he would have listened to Anthony preaching at him?
