It is a 1.6hp 24V dc baldor motor running at 36V. It will definitly go faster. In the video, I am only cutting in 1st gear. My pulleys need to be resized because 2nd gear is really fast right now.
Awesome!! I am about to convert my gas lawn mower to an Electric as well. I convert gas cars to electric so I am not worried about this one at all. What size motor did you use and will it go any fast? It looks like you are cutting very slowly in the video. I have 2 acres to cut so speed is important. Anything you could change on a second build?
Looks like a Tank!
Or a Road Grader.
Why the Big Tires?
Won't They Kill" the grass?

@jor99912 The tires are standard size for a 1970s Simplicity lawn tractor.

This looks really good! How long can you mow on a charge?

I haven't actually gotten to use it since I finished it at the end of last fall. At that point, I didn't time it to see either.
