Hi.... I have a question as I can put music from itunes to my walkman? supposedly this is for windows and itunes.

@apatzin30 I can't see it why it wont accept the iTunes format due to it being very popular, but unfortunately I can't confirm this as I don't use iTunes. :|

VOLUME LIMIT SUCKS!!!!!

@ferpri5 It's hard plastic and yes I would recommend it, I use it pretty much every day, it's light, easy/fast to find the song you want to listen too and the quality is great.

But that's my opinion. :)

@ferpri5 It's still optional to whether you want to install the software or not, but I would recommend doing so as you can transfer the music so much faster.

As for if it's better than the other model, I've never owned that version so cannot compare I'm afraid.

@MyKeyReviews sorry I have an other question, I heard that the newest sony models have the problem that when you go to find an other song in the list of de mp4 the music you are playing stops. Is this right?

On this new model, it doesn't just stop when you search for another song, as for other models, I wouldn't know. :)

@aries56able I would love to say I know the difference in sound, but I'm afraid I've never owned the NWZ-A865, would love to though, it looks amazing and with the extra inbuilt memory it's possibly worth the extra money. :)

@aries56able I've had no freezes and no problems at all, it's been a real neat walkman that plays music just the may it should. :)

As for the comparison, I can't compare to the S series because I've never owned one, the sound is possibly the same quality if not better due to the price, can't imagine it being worse. :)

@aries56able if it does freeze its because the tracks you are playing are a too high bit rate or too low.

Can you navigate music by: Genre->Album? (instead of Genre->Artist)

I have the previous generation of this player (NWZ-A728), really impressed with the sound quality, especially at high volume levels with no distortion at all. But the only gripe I have with mine is I can't browse by Genre->Album, which is the only way I browse my music.

Also wana mention the sound quality you get from dedicated MP3 players is leaps and bounds over what you get out of a smartphone (like HTC Sensation).

@strika71 You can search by "Album", "Artist", "Genre", or "Release Year", if you look carefully, you will see the menu at the 3:12 point. :)

This is what annoys me about Sony players, you can't get a list of Albums in a Genre :( otherwise they're fantastic players.

@strika71 Apologies, when you go into "Genre" after selecting the type you want, you then get a choice of artists, once you've selected which artist you want to listen to, you then get the choice to play ALL songs from that artist or decide which album you want to play. :)

That's a bit of a bummer for me then, if I have a multi-artist album (most of mine are) it won't work :( I was really hoping for Genre>Album, I don't want to stuff around with artist.

I'm having trouble with the video display. Right now, the default is horizontal, so I have to tilt it from the side. I want to change it to vertical both for video and pictures. I can't find the video orientation option anywhere on this thing.

If anyone has any ideas please suggest, would be gladly appreciated.

@dvsxavier This is probably because otherwise the video would be way too small, most videos are widescreen so it's more suitable to be horizontal.

Personally, this isn't an issue for me, but I will check it out to see if I can find a solution for you, but I'm sure once you've seen it vertically, you may wanna go back. :P

There's another thing that annoys me. You can't repeat play the videos or delete videos in the submenu. Only music you can repeat play and delete and photos you can delete.

@dvsxavier Can't find an option at all to rotate the video I'm afraid, however I can delete videos on mine, have you tried scrolling to the bottom of the option list, that's where my "delete video" option is located.

As for the repeat on videos, it would be a good implication for those who want it, but I don't know a lot of people that would use it. :|

@MyKeyReviews Thank You for looking it up. I think the only way to rotate it, is to shrink the screen size when converting. If it's too wide, it will be forced to landscape view. I haven't found the right dimension yet.

As for the video delete, you're right. I found it, in the video folder with the options key. Cheers! Happy New Year!

Some issues I noticed with this player.

You can't use the player while it's charging.

If you have any trouble with auto shut off, then go to the settings menu and shut off the screen saver.

You don't need to download the Media Go. Just copy and paste into the right folder.

If the Portable Device Walkman isn't showing up on your Computer. It's because the Connection is Flimsy. Just unplug from the Walkman, NOT the USB from the Computer and plug it back in again. It should show up.

@dvsxavier Charging bit isn't quite an issue for me, as the battery lasts so long I just top the battery up as I sleep, or because it charges via USB which I do through the computer, I just watch/listen the video/music file on the computer instead.

Files are easy to copy over without MediaGo of course, but I like doing it through that software because I can just add things in a click of a button without needing to go through all my different genre folders.
