  • @JasmineDuthie The country Australian vernacular is quite similar to this, even if there is hyperbole. To say you don't understand this is to say you don't understand an English dialect, hopefully in the 2 years since this comment your receptivity of this type of speech has changed.

  • Amtrak, Trains of America

  • love it yak!

  • I'm english and i understood it all :/

  • @jasmineduthine im canadian and i can understand them just fine

  • can this come with lyrics

  • u said mate way too many times

  • "multifunctional date" lol

  • Should they be speaking aborigine instead of the white conquerors accent?

  • @zonilo1 Nah. Usually when someone takes over a country, that country adapts the conquerors native tongue.

  • So proud to be Australian! Didn't realise I was so patriotic lol!!!

  • Awesome :)

  • Crikey! She's a REAL BEAUTY!

  • 3 words what the fuck lol

  • aussies have driven this american teen absolutely mad

  • i'm australian and i understood that perfectly. granted, i DO know an awful lot of people who talk like that. the only real problem was that it was called a Bar, not a Pub

  • I used to live in Australia

But now i live in Sydney

You would be surprised at how many people, born bred and grown old in Australia don't Know what a Numbat is and have never seen a Platty cat

No, i guess you wouldn't be surprised as you have been receiving all those comments for months from Aussies that don't know what language they are speaking

All that aside, It was a top rate bit of comic relief

    Taa

  • Aussie Animations...Nothing better

  • platypus: there must be something special about a lil' digga like you

numbat : gee i dunno, mate. got a 6-inch tongue

  • LOL :)

  • Really funny vid, what I could understand of it that is, I swear Australian is a language all it's own lolz

  • So I've just learned what a numbat is.

  • haha, this is a poor effort. dammmnnnnnn beached whale was funnier. Australians don't speak like that at all.... only okkers do really.

  • is this supposed to be sort of like beached whale. But Australians dont talk like that

  • If Australians don't talk like that then who does?!

  • it does sound Aussie. All these people who're differing on here are obviously from the multicultural metro area where the accent is not as strong

  • @Yakovich new zealanders

  • @Yakovich the numbat and the platapus

  • I am Australian and I can't understand a word they are saying. Ozzies don't talk like that!!

  • we dont? i like it

  • Its how the ears of non-australians hear you. All the unique idiosyncracies of your accent that identify you as an "'Strayin", amplified in order for you to hear it. ala beached whale series. done by aussies. same thing in reverse. believe it.

  • Aussies isn't spelt like that either but I know what you meant...

  • I can understand everything they're saying, and many Aussies do talk like that. Maybe you don't get out of the inner city much, aye mate?

  • @JasmineDuthie haha. I know every word..Aussie

  • @JasmineDuthie

How strange. I'm English and I understood every word. I even managed to pick up on the fact that it was an Australian accent and not, say, a New Zealand accent.

  • @JasmineDuthie well get the jizz outta ya ears then love

  • @JasmineDuthie its easy as to understand what they're saying. you just need to the bush for a bit

  • @JasmineDuthie What do you thin of Perry from Phinias and Ferb?

  • men are fit

  • bloody well done mate !

  • I wonder if any1 but Australians can actually understand this? ;D Bloody tops mate :D

  • haha that was a gud laugh yeah a lil bit too much mate tho but still pretty much spot on

  • Very well done.

  • subtitles to understand english??????

    seriously??????

    his comment was in english?????

we aussies are the misunderstood lot.

  • so thats why they call him the platypus, he's a puss cos he drinks tooheys extra dry!

  • Needs subtitles. :)

  • hahaha subtitles? Its a very over exaggerated Australian accent... Either way, they are speaking english - are u too stupid to understand?

  • you need to learn english our accent is not that hard to follow (not to be mean)

  • Sadly, most people don't seem to realize that there are dialects, yes, even in English. There is a difference between English spoken in America, English spoken in Australia, and English spoken in England (and I won't even go into the different breakdowns of English in various regions of those countries.)

Learn to open your ears and listen, and don't complain just because you can't understand, or because you feel you can't be understood. Fact of the matter is, you have to make an effort too.

  • thats the smartest thing I have herd all all day sadly -_-

  • what the hell are you talking about!?? most people dont realize..even in english. english is the number one that people know of. thats why they say "oh i love your accent".

and who the hell are you to tell me or anyone else that because they couldnt understand some of the words we didnt try??? i tryed to listen to this video, its obviously suppose to be funny and to understand jokes you need to hear them. so yeah, i listened and i still didnt hear every word. so shut the fuck up you bitch

  • hhehehe, i find it amusing that people like u overreact so much :)

  • haha, this guy's a tool!

yes, english subtitles to understand Australian.

then again... some of it was slightly muffled i had to turn the sound up.

    great vid anyway.

    AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE!

  • yakovich we australians call bars pubs

  • Amazingly enough robs1396, I know this as, believe it or not, I have been to one or two pubs in my day. But you'll find that even though muost of us call public bars "pubs" most of them will have "Bar" written on the doors or windows.

  • yeah my old town had bar on there windows my new town however says pub on the windows and doors

  • Hahaha! Nice! That was awesome. Cheers!

  • The teachings of the roswell alien from the new believers

This is the story of the sufferings and death of the Roswell alien eb2z as told by the new believers.

the Roswell alien eb2z was the god through whose sufferings and death the the new believers hoped that his body might rise

again in some transformed or glorified shape, and to him who had conquered death and had become the

    king of the other world

  • oi mate WTF

  • Thanks a Lot! and more for that, I needed a go laugh and I had ONE XXX

  • Just one?

  • To anyone that thinks that this is what all Australians talk like, you're wrong. There are a few, yes, but very little.

  • Sooo? Have you been to WA Darwin or SA? Heaps of people talk that that mate.

  • ...Dude, I LIVE in SA.

  • extremely agree with simoneister.

extremely little people speak like that.

  • Actually Simoneister is wrong! Most Aussies not only talk like that we also poke fun at those who don't. And those people get all upset and stuff and then write comments like" To anyone that thinks that this is what all Australians talk like, you're wrong."

    It's a bit sad really

  • OMG Yak replied

But anyway, I have never been anywhere in Australia where most people speak like that (Although, I haven't been to many places in Australia then).

But still, I've been basically all around SA (apart from the REALLY outback deserty places) and quite a few places in Melbourne.

However I haven't been to Canberra, but will be in a few months.

And I haven't been paid out about my accent, actually no Australian has ever said ANYTHING about my accent.

But anyway, the video was enjoyable

  • And yes, I meant Melbourne, not Vic. Haven't actually been many others places in Vic other than Melbourne.

  • Mate, it's just a video highlighting Aussie slang. It was never meant to be an interpretation of how we speak.

(Although I do know a few blokes who go close to this.)

  • ...did you just contradict yourself?

"Most Aussies not only talk like that we also poke fun at those who don't"

"It was never meant to be an interpretation of how we speak"

    ...? I'm confused.

  • Yes and no...

  • Good one Yak!

  • Yep, we sure have some odd animals. Very funny Oz dialogue and good animation. Still laughing.

  • Good Onya Ozpix

  • LMAO

  • love it love it love it!

  • hello hello my name is audio preview

  • 1. Go to "nathenitet" channel page and write in the comments, "You are a loser".

    2. Hold your breath for 10 seconds, (after inhaling a couple of lungs full of gunja).

    3. Push refresh-enter-backspace-esc.

    4. And nathanitet will still be a loser but you realy won't care anyway.

  • I could listen to Aussie slang for hours.

  • "are you the bloke that played the incredible hulk in the tv series?" hahahahaha too funny!!! love it! Any more?

  • I laughed to myself when I came up with that bit so I appreciate you appreciating it.

  • you have to be aussie to really get the slang xD

  • ahahhaha thats so funny!

...even though i dont understand the ENTIRE slang at the start... should i know that?

  • Who am I to tell anyone what they should and shouldn't know.

TED isn't very well known as it is relatively new. It's short for Toohey's Extra Dry.

  • how could people not know what TED is lol

  • Just to let you know me and me hubby went to see Aussie Floyd on Saturday night and they were bloody fantastic mate....

    Lynn From Scotland

PS Love the video. How long does it take to make one?

  • That's great Lynn! But I've never actually heard of "Aussie Floyd".

The videos take between 2 -4 weeks depending how soon the video starts to bore me. It also greatly depends on the amount of spare time I have. It roughly equates to 1 hour to animate 10 seconds not counting the original drawing, sound effects, voicing and editing. I recently finished a 10 sec section for my next animation that took up 8 hours of my time. But i was watching TV too. (Look for Eve & the snake in my next one)

  • BAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA

    -Peace <3

  • lol Australia rulz

  • interesting, shame they forgot that numbats and bilbys both are marsupials and pee/crap from a single opening to, Marsupials also have cloaca's.

  • I dunno mate... Being unable to complete a sentence without using the word "fuck" a couple of times may indicate a lack of imagination at least. Plus I think most of the world would be smart enough to recognise that the video is a parody on Aussie slang. I'm sorry to say "y3ahyeah" but your comment should embarrass you more than the video does, I know it made me cringe a bit.

To anyone else that reads it, please understand that we are not as stupid as "y3ahyeah"'s comment may indicate.

  • why can't I give your comment a thumbs up?

  • LMAO! it is so sweet to my ears to hear some true blue lingo!

  • Awesome, but hard to follow.

  • Sorry evolsteveve but I was trying to use as much Aussie slang as i could without getting ridiculous.

  • Nah mate, it was fair dinkum' though only aussie would get their necks 'round this

  • Yak, what is a dorrie/dorry?

Ive asked all me "aussie" mates and they are stumped (the only thing they got close to was a durry >> smokes)

By the way... pissed myself laughing.

  • "Dorrie" is to have a stickybeak, to be a busybody. It comes from an old Aussie TV show "No 96" where one of the gossip monger characters, Dorrie Evans, use to poke her nose into other peoples business on a regular basis. So when someone pokes their nose into your business then they're "having a Dorrie".

Opposed to "Having a durry" which is having a smoke.

  • Cheers Yak,

Yeah, the show was just a bit before my time. My friends already pointed out what having a durry was.

Guess I might mention it to them and see whether they remember the series.

  • you obviously dont live in the bush ... mate..

  • Don't I?

  • was referring to the spudsurfer ....

  • ermmm we dont speak like that at all i hate how people take our axcent to far we dont even sound liek this.

  • whatever, OK, like I think we do so like whatever OK!

    (Axcent?!)

  • Spudsurfer - I, and many of my comrades, speak a lot like this, and we don't have much time for would-be seppo's.

  • too right cobber!

  • at least the platypus has taste.. he's on the tooheys extra dry.. lol
