Thanks for posting! Just finished mine and your tip on not removing the intake really saved me time. Interestingly, mine also needed a new coil afterwards. I think that purging water from the cylinder by cranking with the spark plugs removed (and not grounded) created a stress in the coil secondary burning it out.
@MrWhizzpopper Swapping the gasket was easy. I spend a lot of extra time because the distributor went out on me at the same time, then I had a problem with a vacuum leak on the intake manifold. Save yourself some trouble and slop a little gasket seal on both sides of the gasket before you put it back together. Other than that, just getting the timing belt al lined up, and it's a breeze. The head gasket itself is a piece of cake..
This video was the best,Most helpful how to ive ever seen. i watched all of them. The way u stop to go over your thought prosses and break down what your doing. Your video made doing my car super easy. Thanks Bro!!

THIS is the MOST freaking helpful video on the subject yet! Its funny, Youtube has either 8 year olds who can change the head, or old hill billies who just figure it out on camera right in front of you, but no professional videos done by mechanics or what not(that I can find) . Great job and thank you. I too found the manual a bit tedious. Just get in there and do it!
LOL!! Gotta take dis gizmo off... dis and dis and dat.. More power to you for doing your own work most people would sell a car b4 paying for a head repair let alone DOING IT THEN SELVES!!
