If you want a serious response as to why this game's voice talent is so... unique, the game's localization had such a small budget that they couldn't afford any real voice actors. So, the vocal director just got his family to do the voices. Hence, this lovely performance.

These voice actors were all family members of the president of the company that localized this game, true story.

As a die hard fan of Shadow Hearts: Covenant, the game all three of these characters originally appeared in, this hurts a lot.

Karen was voiced by Kari Wahlgren in the localization of SH:C for christsake, one of the best female voice actors in all of anime.

Heck, while their VAs are virtual unknowns in SH:C, Nicolai (Nicole here) and Yuri (Uru) got respectable performances too.

Instead of Hyoma going all "HIIIII-YAH" at the end of the scene,the party comes across tthem and they actually think Uru and Nicole like each other with Hiro remarking "You two should get a room.",with Nicole to his embarrassed sprite for conversation and replying "This isn't what it looks like...." shortly after Nicole gets ticked and attacks.

I don't know why my cutscene seems to be different from everyone else's cutscene,it's odd.
