I'm no MOD but I don't understand why this band didn't get more recognition than they did.

They did actually write originals which they were hoping would be picked up by a record company but unfortunately weren't. They are more like demos and would have sounded great if they were given time in a studio to clean them up. They have been reissued on The Action-Rolled Gold album and a couple of the tracks ended up on Reg King's solo album. When this fell through they split up with most of them becoming Mighty Baby.
