Thinking back to the India-Pakistan war of 1971 which Pakistan lost, resulting in the independence of Bangladesh.
The general commanding the Pakistani forces was captured by India and released at the end of hostilities. Pakistan then drummed him out of his military career,
For the rest of his life, a couple of decades at least, he sought a court-martial. He never got one.
