  • hahahaha "Get your ass outta here, NOW!"

  • PLEASE teach it to say "HELP, they've turned me into a parrot!!"

  • 0:26 Bless you

  • so do these bird actually understand what they say, cause i was told that my friend knows a guy that calls his bird and asks it if its ok and it says yea im fine, and their house caught in fire and it was yelling OMG get me out of here

  • @AddDude23 not all the time you can teach a parrot to say what you allway want them to say

ex at a pet store theres a parrot that always say the same answer to a question and if you tell him to laugh he'll laugh idk how to train one but a friend of mine does

  • to @AddDude23

no they just repeat what they hear as for the guy the bird probably just did the that frays because he heard it seed in a scary or stressful situation and repeated what emotion sounded write hope this helps

  • wow that parrot sounds JUST LIKE the male owner

  • i want a raciest one. lol just because it would be the funnest thing when my black friends come over and there having a fight with a bird

  • @wirlwind494 haha yeah that would be EPIC!! Haha

  • i couldnt tell the difference between the bird and the guy

  • I swear someone needs to teach their Grey to say "Get in the van, I've got candy" in their creeper voice XD

  • Is that Phil Collins in the background?

  • that sneeze was awesome

  • NO ONE CARES IF YOUR SISTER GOT ATTACKED BY A BIRD!! FUCK YOU STUPID ASS SISTER!

  • @marius666 now thats not nice asshole

  • Wow. The bird sounded exactly like the guy who said "Dharma get over here".

  • haha, oops accidentally taught the bird how to break a commandment xD

  • Love it! Its crazy how these birds can copy an owners voice! Thx for sharing

  • Did you guys work with him or did he just start talking? I have a 16 month old grey that I think is just trying to say hello. If you click my link I only have two vids. If you have time could you look and tell me if that's what she is doing? I also would appreciate any suggestions on coaxing her to talk. Thanks man. I linked this vid to my facebook page and people are just as astounded.

  • @tonywnj i think it takes them about 2 years to really start talking. they start mimicking easy things like the phone and songbirds and the microwave before they ever talk. mine is 16.5 years old so i dont really remember how it all went. your bird sounds pretty vocal though so it should do fine. i have never done anything to try to teach mine, he just picks it all up on his own. the young ones have dark grey eyes and when they start to lighten and turn yellow i think they are adults and talk

  • @lefty5string I'm glad to hear that. She has so much personality I really don't care if she does. If she does then I'll encourage it. If she doesn't her personality makes up for it. I just really wanted to know if I'm encouraging speech that she doesn't want to do and by doing that I don't want to frustrate her. Thanks for the advice Lefty.

  • @tonywnj in my experience they learn what they want to learn for the most part and once they start there is no stopping it. your birds first words will be something annoying and your birds second words will be "shut up!" ha

  • @lefty5string Again thanks for the advice. LOL I'm sure if or when it happens I'll be coming back telling you how right you were. I met a guy who has a grey. He told me that he couldn't wait and couldn't wait for the grey to start talking. Then he said I'm still waiting for it to shut the hell up. It messes with his dog a lot. He said he thinks he may have to put the dog in an institution, because his dog hasn't been the same since. HAHA

  • This bird sounds like a grown man. Absolutely astounding. I wasn't looking at the screen at the captions. I thought it was a man yelling..

  • @tonywnj he mimicks my voice well enough to fool my wife on a daily basis. when friends come over they think i am throwing my voice or it is some kind of trick because he speaks in my voice. he also speaks in my wifes voice which is much higher. he actually greets us when we walk in the door with a "Hellooo!" in our own voices depending on who he sees come in.

  • Probably the most badass way a bird could possibly say "Goddammit!"

  • @lazydetailists truth be told he probably learned that from watching me play nintendo more than from yelling at the dog.

  • thats not a bird voice

  • lmfao!

  • My stepmom has a Congo too... it's a total riot. The best is when we're in the basement with company, and all of a sudden you'll hear a random burp or fart come out of her.

  • @daphnener he went through a stage where he would make a big fart sound every time i walked past his cage. pretty funny stuff.

  • It's soooo cute when it sneezed ! I wished u showed us the dog. :(

  • i cant get enough of this video i have watched it several times your bird cracks me up

  • lol my husband and i watched this video and we laughed. funny bird

  • lmfaoo that is hilarious

  • LOVE it mines the same way too she puts stuff together even whistled the theme to andy griffith show and that was just from listening to it my husband CANT whistle for the life of him:) she also mocks him when hes on the phone:) my grey is going on 17yrs strong now:)

  • That parrot is good!!!

  • They average over a thousand (USD) dollars.

  • @toyota4you i got lucky w mine she was a previously owned bird 2 yrs when we got her n for cage n everything was 500$!!!:) in CA they were insanely high for a baby would easily run you 2G

  • when people come to my house my Grey doesn't know he says (in my voice no less) "come here, I don't bite, i love you!" He put those 3 phrases together himself and he tries to lure people close enough so he can grab their fingers and freak them out. Then my other bird laughs. I've had to put a sign up

  • @calmbluewaters yes it is amazing how they can make up their own statements that actually make sense using unrelated words or phrases they know. nothing mimicry about that!

  • @calmbluewaters put a video of that up I wanna see it, that sounds so hilarious.

  • @calmbluewaters How did you get your grey to talk? Mine is a female at 16 months and it seems to me that she is just trying to say hello. I'm going to put a lot of effort now that she is showing interest. Any suggestions for me?

P.S. The above story is absolutely hilarious!

  • @tonywnj for the things that I've taught my guy I just repeat what I want him to say over and over again, although many times he just decides he likes something and will pick it up on his own. He "knocks" on the door, I had xmas bells up 2 years ago and he still makes that clanging noise. Be patient, she'll start talking, and making all kinds of noises that will probably leave you wondering where she heard it or what it is.

  • @calmbluewaters that is awesome. i have heard of some smart birds but that might just be the best

  • Awe hahaha I have been wanting an African Grey for quite sometime now.. How much do they cost?? The cages I heard from this guy who has one said a rly good one is about $1500-$2,000 but never told me how much the parrot itself cost!!!!!

  • @devilicious8888 not sure, i got mine 16 years ago and it was around 12-1300 i think. no idea what they go for now. you can get a decent cage for a few hundred dollars, cheaper is you look on craigslist probably.

  • We have a lot of bird fairs around where I live in New Orleans, La. You can find some good prices on bird cages at those. But be SURE to clean and disinfect the cage VERY WELL before you put your bird in it because those places have a lot of birds and some may carry diseases that can infect your bird. You may want to check out Avian Accents (google it). They have some awesome cages. We got outs there and it cost about $2800, but it is very easy to clean and my grey loves it!

  • Our grey, that came from a reputable breeder near New Orleans cost $900 4 years ago. That also included a free check up with an avian vet. He's a very healthy bird and talks non stop. We selected him before he got all his feathers and chose to pick him up just after he was completely weaned at about 3 months I think.

  • @devilicious8888 I don't know where you live but there are non profit bird rescue places. One is called San Diego bird rescue and it's on the computer....

  • That is so funny! I love it when he (?) says goddam-LMAO! Beautiful bird.

  • this was truly hilarious!

  • Get that bird lots MORE toys!

  • My friend's African grey is around five years old and is always hollering stuff at other animals that come to visit. It also seems to remember swear words so much more than anything else.

  • i have an african gray and he is about 3yrs now and he is incredibly intelligent not only does he do every whistle in the book but he also mimicks mine and my daughters voice to a T. i was in the other room the other day and i heard my daughters voice clearly call me but at the time my daughter was with my ex. very weird hearing it but also cool as shit!! also he is terittorial over his his room he once dive bombed our chi hua hua when he came in and chases him out of the room lol!! cool bird!

  • @killaj870 that's awesome, how much did it cost you altogether?

  • Crazy. I love it!

  • lol my cousin parrot tells ducks in the back garden he says 'fuckin ducks in back garden'

  • "get yo ass over here... yo!"

    i laughed

  • best Grey parrot XD

  • fake da parrot has his bak turned 2 da cam wen it talks

  • lol cussing parrot

  • awwww this cute..:)

  • you guys staged this...

  • @flygon4life Apparently, you've never actually heard of an African Grey before.. They can live past 60 years and, if nurtured, have the intelligence of a 3-4 year old. They can read, add, subtract, and understand the concept of "self." They are amazing animals.

  • @katiebird317 That's why I love parrots or other talking birds

  • The "sneeze" part was hilarious.

  • these birds are AWESOME! i want one like this

  • Well, African Greys are renowned for their ability to mimic sounds, not just voices, perfectly.

  • I once babysat a parrot because the owner went on a cruise and he made really LOUD sex noises... you can really tell alot about a person by listening to their birds! LOL

  • i just put up a new one yesterday that shows him talking right into the camera

  • I have heard worst, i just think this birds sneeze is amazing and the bird is beautiful. I have to say the get your ass outta here made me laugh so hard.

  • Damn... we all know how u treat your dog... sad.

  • ha ha lol!

  • Wow that is hilarious.

  • i know,,,they can be soooo embarassing,,,,people think you talk to them like that all the time,,,but they pick up what sounds fun to them,,,,like kids :)

  • lol, I love the way he is trying to help you get the dog under control lol.

  • Did he say that at 0:41 because he couldn't get a foothold?

  • HAHAHA the sneeze was fucking awesome

  • truth be told, he gets that from me playing video games not from yelling it at the dogs. he gets the get in your kennel from the dogs and just put it all together himself. he makes up some whacky but relevent conversation

  • Does he also repeat sounds that he hears coming from the bedroom? ;)

  • there is no god.

  • is this a religious debate now? I could care less, it doesn't change anything about how I live my life.

  • it certainly won't

    once a fool, always a fool :3

    LRN2SCIENCE

  • hope you're not suggesting I'm a fool for not buying into mainstream religions.... I think you can go to hell for that. OH fear the great Gods of doom and punishment if you don't believe! RARR!!! O_o

  • Parrots love drama and they love percussive sounding words. So swear words are reeeeally a favorite for parrots to mimic. If you don't want your bird to swear (or fart or belch or imitate certain other noises or phrases), then make sure you don't do any of that within earshot of a parrot.

  • @Yalf111 im religous but over bearing moms or whatever u are piss me off

  • LOL, cute parrot XD, wisecrack too XD! Who needs to train a dog when a bird can? ;D

  • Someone is a really bad influence on that bird xD lol

  • He sounds like a person...is it really the parrot doing the talking?

  • African Grays are supposed to be the best mimics of any bird.

  • Well...I'm pretty shocked, didn't think they were good to the point of mimicking voices.

...and it picked up a sneeze... can they just start imitating after hearing something once?

  • come allergy season he sneezes and coughs like crazy. whatever is going on around him. sometimes he picks things up right away, sometimes he never does. its usually something you dont notice until he points it out to you... like if i walk into the bathroom he will make the sound of water spashing in the toilet or if i open the refrigerator he'll make a perfect mimic of a pop can opening. spooky.

  • the trippiest thing is he uses our voices, not just the words. my wife walks in and he says hello in her voice, i walk in and he says hello in mine....

  • @lefty5string yea that's totally weird how they do that

  • @lefty5string OMFG I WANT A PARROT TO TALK BACK TO ME IN MY VOICE XD

  • mostly when parrots talk they talk with that strange voice because that is how the humans talk to them. granded they cant 100 % reblicate the sound, but if you talk with a normal voice to the parrot you will get a much more normal responce from the parrot.

i am not saying this is true of false as i have no way to know that.

but i am trying to say that normaly when persones talk to parror they chagne the voice to sound more parrot like. but the parrot will also copy that,

    so just talk normal

  • @Tsanalretentive yes, parrots mimick the sounds they hear and try to mimick them exactly like they hear them.

  • shut the hell up. All the bird is doing is quoting whoever was talking so he can get some attention. How is he an asshole? He's not flying around and angrily trying to get out of the cage. I'm sorry your sister was "attacked" by a bird but jesus there is only so much a bird can do, and he doesn't seem violent WHATSOEVER.

  • @EastCoastPrinCeSS bullshit

  • @ChakaGon..... wtf is your prob bud? African gray's imitate and copy words from their owners very easily, which is why its important not to swear around them....never the less, theres no reason why you should pms all over this comment wall

  • Dick.

  • grow the fuck up its a damn bird not a fuckin tiger you dueche bag

  • He was just repeating what he heard them yelling at the dog. stop being a know it all. That bird isn't even mean OR nasty he's just yelling at the dog, because the owners obviously have to yell at it. I don't really even LIKE birds but he could be the sweetest thing and yet you say he's going to end up dead or worse. Everything ends up dead, DUH. But to say he's like, knowingly acting like an asshole, is a really stupid remark.

  • its funny cause my older sister has a african grey and he and i r grate mates when grandma came over wern i was at my sisters he said 2 her ''fuck u'' over and over 2 her and then cukkles solfly that was like 5 years ago

  • how old is your parrot and how long have you had her

  • lol get ur ass outta here

  • Get your ass outta here, now!

  • It's creepy how accurately they can emulate a person's voice.

  • Did you guys know a newspaper can also be used as a hat? (=^)

  • ROFL.

My african grey is always trying to tell my dogs to sit in very stern voices, or to "come here" etc. Pretty much anything I tell me dogs Winston (my parrot) repeats it. xD

  • Wow that bird is smarter than the entire GOP! Ok sorry it was to easy.

  • It wouldn't surprise me if there was some abuse going on in this house. Anyone who is so out of control that they curse at their dog shouldn't own one. And I pity any children who live there.

  • Shut up and go back to your treehouse before they cut it down.

  • Your response just proves my point. One doesn't have to be a "tree hugger" to know how to treat others.

  • Oh come on, those birds are very smart and can pick up almost anything heard only a couple times. It isn't abuse swearing at a dog. It can be pretty stressful when one of our furry family members is being a brat. It doesn't mean we don't love them more than anything or spoil them any less than we do now. I'm an animal lover too, we'd never think about going to far. I'm sure these people wouldn't either.

  • Your a dork!

  • I meant to say " Your a Dork guestwho789"

    Get a life jerk off!

  • is its noise riped of or is that the far :(

  • Or maybe he just has an ignorant, racist bastard for an owner.

  • I have no clue what you are referring to. If it is something I wrote months and months ago,the common sense thing to do is first mention what you are responding to ! If it has something to do with my bird disliking Obama,I have no control over what he say's.When I was interested in buying him,he himself asked me if I was a Liberal Democrat who voted for Barack Obama. I told him "NO WAY" I'm a patriotic American,I'm Republican ! He then sighed, and shouted out,THANK GOD,I'M GOING TO A GOOD HOME:)

  • I was referring to the comment that you wrote ONE month ago. And I'm not going to bother trying to point out all the things that are wrong with your comment because there are fewer things more pointless than arguing over the Internet. I'll just say that you represent the worst type of American, the kind who is too stubborn and full of hate to try and bridge partisan differences to try and get something done for once.

  • Another thing,if I knew you were only 18 I wouldn't of wasted my time. You know nothing about life, the real world, and how hard it is to live. You are wet behind the ears, and think you know more then your parents, and all grown ups in general.

PAH-LEEZE ! If you think Barack is someone who will get this country back from the brink of disaster you need to do some reading, and not from some liberal points of view,or from watching CNN,MSNBC. I would suggest a balance. But you already know everything !

  • I may be young, but my entire life has been devoted to learning and educating myself about the world, so I've done plenty of reading from both liberal and conservative points of view. And I certainly don't think I know more than most adults or my parents. My parents are very intelligent people and I'm incredibly grateful to them for all that they've done. I do, however, think I know more than someone who says that they used to hate Jews and foreigners and teaches their parrot racial slurs.

  • Also, I think all the news networks are jokes. I get my news from the newspaper. And I find it a bit hypocritical that someone who watches Fox News believes that I should watch an unbiased news network. As for Barack Obama, I don't know if he will save our country, but I do have confidence in him, and he's certainly doing a better job than McCain could have done. I just think Obama's trying too hard to please everyone.

  • Based on what?I have this idea that young people like you want socialism. Why?Socialism is the LAZY.They want the least amount of responsiblity for their life, less accountability for their actions, they want FREE things from our Government without having to work and earn them, and they want Government to take care of them the rest of their lifes. Sounds familiar ?You know it !Your 18,you live at home with mummy and datty, and the biggest decision you have to make is where to hang out with friends.

  • I actually don't live with my parents and I may not have to support kids, but I do have to work to help pay my college tuition. And although I don't think socialism would work in the United States, I do think its basic principles are well-contrived. Surely you can't think it's fair that 40% of the wealth in America is concentrated among the richest 1% of families? Both capitalism and socialism have their flaws, but I certainly don't think socialism is "evil" as some people say.

  • nowdays that is actually called communism, socialism is not like that in from a modern point of view.

  • In otherwards, your opinion is irrevelevant to people who have to work everyday to feed their kids, and keep a roof over their heads.Paleeze, don't try and debate with a grown up who will clean you up like a mop.Just for shits&giggles, what do you think about Barack having a domestic terrorist as a friend ? Did you ever hear of Bill Aires and his wife who bombed the Pentagon back in the 60's and was convicted and sentenced ? Don't even tell me it's not true,it is a fact !How about his racist pastor?

  • I do know who Bill Ayers is and his "friendship" with Barack Obama was entirely concocted by the media. Ayers is a distinguished professor at the University of Chicago and they live in the same neighborhood, so of course they are acquainted. There is no evidence that there is anything more to their relationship. I was disturbed by some of the things his pastor said, but I could hardly be more certain that Obama is not a racist, so I found the Wright controversy essentially irrelevant.

  • Bullshit ! It is a fact that Bill Ayers was Barracks friend and was in his home. He lives in the same neigborhood. The media you are referring to is the only news outlet that tells the truth anymore, and thats obviously Fox News.Ofcoarse you get your misguided, flawed, disingenuous info from liberal media such as PMSNBC,CNN,and other liberal news sources.Hell, they litterally campaigned for Obama. When did it ever get to the point where media takes sides?Fair and unbiased ? I think not !

  • Fow news, it's the same shit.

One must only refer to independent media nowdays, if one wants to get the real information.

  • True

  • LOL get in yur kennel .... my girl friends aunts african grey calls there dogs too ....

and says earnhardt will burn that ass ....

and mimics the phone ringing and clicking on perfectly ....

  • That laugh was almost evil sounding, sort of like the Joker's from Batman.

  • Cool

  • He says to the dog goddamnit, get me out of here

  • That's cool

  • hahaha ! Cool parrot !

  • AHAHA! He said Goddamn XD

  • ha ha my frend had a macaw named sammy and would randomly squawk then shout at himself shut up sammy!

  • lmao my african will start begging for a kiss from someone and then make a kiss noise and go "good girl"

  • It's funny that he has an emotional tone when he talks. Its like he tunes in more when you sound angry or frustrated. Sammy has the best enunciation.

  • umm deffntly not fake u rere!

  • Great fun.

  • Woah. That sounds amazingly human. o.o

  • he speaks very clearly in my voice. fools my wife all the time as he immediately answers "no" to every question she asks me from the kitchen. I've missed out on dozens of sandwiches and drinks, etc. because she will come into the office with something for herself and ill ask where mine is and she'll say you told me no when i asked. he's not a parrot, he's a turkey

  • Careful what you say, it may be repeated in front of the wrong person!

  • That' s just awesome !!!!!!!

  • OMG...this is creepy yet awesomely cool!

  • my mums one loves to mimic the house phone and the low battery noise.

    man its annoying!

  • hahahahha african greys are the best

  • my African Grey calls the dogs, tells them "drop it now" or "quiet now",, he will also bark like them and then tell himself "quiet now"

  • LMFAOOO!!!!!

  • Aww!! It sneezed! I love that parrot! ;)

  • I want one sooooo bad

  • hahahaha that bird is so cool

  • hahahahahahah

  • It's even sadder when someone can't spell "when."

  • so true :(

  • Shut-up! Get off your high-horse! There are more comments here about it being cute and funny...Plenty of people would adopt one like this! I grew up with parrots of all types and we taught them to cuss, too! You're obviously too up-tight to have a little fun in life. I bet everyone you talk to has a stick up their ass, too! Besides any responsible parrot-owner would have "godparents" for it!!!!!! FUCK OFF!

  • If you're offended by bad language, I suggest not leaving the house.

  • haha birds are so funny

  • someone curses alot in that home lol.

that was a fake sneeze right?

  • yep, but perrot imitate evry sound they heard in the house

  • My parrot has a toy that looks just like that!! The toy that is hanging from the top and is really colorful. My parrot is also an African Grey....weird. LOL! I wish she would call our dog! Very beautiful parrot you have :)

  • Get in the kennel get your #ss out of here LOL Thats an awesome Bird...

  • that dog must be so confused.

  • "Get your ass in there!"

    LOL!

  • African Greys always seem to pick up emotionally laden phrases. Mine would recreate shouting matches between me and my ex-wife using both our voices. It seemed to love embarrassing us when we had company over.
