  • of course that's a drift because that's Controlled sideways, haters. what if I say honda don't drift too? RAAAAAAAAAAAGE. anyway luv your fun drift at the beach :)

  • props to the guy for doing it. I can't even drift my 250hp Nissan Silvia yet :( and here's someone drifting a 50hp Beetle. And thats in the sand, which I get the impression is harder than actual roads.

  • @MacThompsonBrown : yes you can do it :) do a slow donut, then suddenly turn your steering opposite way and slam throttle, then feather the throttle as you slide sideways. It's a drift too :) for further reference, go watch D1 drift imported DVDs. Road surfaces are just matter of traction breaking, and nevertheless, you drift :)

  • cant wait to get mine

  • basura

  • Cute :o))))

  • Haha! Love it. Hope you got a good chassis wash afterwards. ;-) Technically, drifting is when the driver deliberately induces oversteer. So this is drifting after all. :¬p

  • pecado bota um fusquinha desses todo ajeitadinho na areia da praia... o salito vai acaba com ele ...

  • ive got a 62 fully restored, a modified 67 with full interior and 78 convertible with 20,000 original miles. people these days dont appreciate the nostalgic value and true coolness of bugs anymore, im glad i still have mine. good lookin 71!

  • I wish my 71 looked that nice. :(

  • i have a 77 bug but urs looks way better

  • Good fun, no stress !

  • Who cares what he's technically doing, the point is he's having fun.

  • this is a charming drift;)

  • A little cold to be going to the beach in Dec. eh?

  • I love the Beetle and have one... A '71 with some modifications... Which allow the same to be done on tarmac. Sorry, but this video is boring. Drifting is something completely different.

  • haha no where close to be called drifting.. love the bug tho..

  • riiiiiiiiiiiiight your comparing this to a movie get a life

  • don't hate, nice drifting haha love the beetle man!

  • muito fraquim esse fusca

nem na areia o bixim sai de banda

coloca um 1600 carburaçao dupla nele

    que melhora.

  • there are so many fucking Brasilians on JewTube these days. Good to see!

  • aussie beach + beetle = RUST!!!! I live at cairns (lotsa beaches) and i got rust on my beetle:( get it sandblasted when i get sum money!

  • God, I wish the beaches here in NC were like that. We have deep gouges that the bug has "fun" crossing over. Even my lifted bug has trouble turning across ruts.

  • I love how all you little kids are all pissed off about how this is not tecnhically drifting. So the fuck what, the guy went out and fucked around on the beach with a car that makes 56hp. What the fuck did you expect?

  • lol. exactly. im sure it was really fun and thats all that matters. i know i have alot of fun in my bug, but its not stock tho.

  • bloody good point mate, have taken my bug in an empty field sometimes which is pretty much the same as a beach and even though it pushes out only like 40 horse.. there's nothing better than the feeling u get when you loose your over-steer virginity! absolute chuffing quality! :D

  • i think the fact that this is done on sand is kind of cheating. lol

  • lucas black at the beggining of tokyo drift drifts better than that!!!!!!!!

  • not much angle bro lol

  • nice drift! XD

  • go to drift school.

  • All that sand is gonna ruin that there car.

  • What a sad loser,get a life.

  • um, those bugs are for getting dirty in the sand, they are those types of cars.

  • ...that's not drifting... doughnuts are fun in a beetle.. but to call that drifting... is inaccurate to actually drift a beetle would take a whole lot of suspension upgrades and lowering... i'm thinking about building a beetle to drift... the only way to do it right would be to lower the center of gravity and put an ungodly amount of horsepower on it...

  • good luck with that mate, because before you start you'll need to realise that the Beetle already has a very low center of gravity ...

  • Sorry cybrmniac, but you have no idea about superbeetles do you? You don't lower them any further than they already are. Lower than 6" is insane. Do some research before you go totally trash a perfectly good bug with your insane, unresearched ideas.

  • completely wrong

with the engine being in the back it just needs enough power to get the wheels spinning which isnt tonnes

and it isnt worth lowering and cant be lowered much anyway

  • I second with evryone replied to this post allready, the center of gravity indeed is really low even if not modified in any way, i have a '73 beetle and with a bit of juicing up it does drifting really easily.

  • what year is it?

  • 1971 S bug

  • I don't know if I should hate it because of how ridiculous it is to drift a VW beetle in the first place or love it for the very same reason. Let's see you do that shit on the road though, that's what I really wanna see.

  • youtube . com/watch?v=NgfZycYhzC0 there u go

  • nice but that bug has lost its soul man...

  • Mr Bean eat your heart out.

  • haha shreddin up the dunes..ya im pretty sure if you got your tires warmed up you could do a donut on pavement.

  • what kinda gas mileage do you get?

  • 8L/100km on the highway, 8L/100km in the city. haven't checked economy on the beach

  • nice i usually do the same crap in my 72 beetle.usually on grass though.

  • whats it got for an engine? stock?

  • she is stock 1600cc, 350,000 original miles. you could only do this on sand.

  • Fuckin' gay? More like "FUCKING YAY!!" :D

God, you just gotta love this! :)

  • fuckin gay

  • stay gay jeremy
