2. opengl and directx aren't the only options anymore. directx is of course the best option (in my opinion) for a high-performance graphics in strictly windows format but an enormous amount of options are available. Even wpf is able to come close to directx capabilities nowadays (close but not quite).

You could put in the timer syntax

"If picturebox1.Visible == True { picturebox3.Visible = true; }"

so that is the light is on, the ghost won't appear (assuming picturebox1 is the off light)

while doing another tuorial i learned that the if statement is different in C# then it is in lua so i did it the C# way and added this code into the timer code

if (pictureBox2.Visible == true) {  pictureBox3.Visible = true; }

this says that if picturebox2(lightON picture) is visibly then the ghost will appear. if the lights are on he wont appear so you have to turn off the lights for him to appear again XD

Programming languages are similar in the logic and how they work but your comment of "C# looking like VB" is ridiculous. They look completely different! Keywords, operators and usual syntax are completely different. Are you on acid?

Have you ever coded in both? Probably not. C# is based on the C family of languages and thus the syntax is like C/Java. VB on the other hand is derived from BASIC.

I must say that I'm impressed at the ability you show at such an early age. Awesome vid man, good for anyone who is a true beginner. Oh, btw, just to show off. My software rendering engine (still in a very early stage) currently runs at over 120fps drawing a 5000 triangle bunny with per-pixel lightning and a single directional light. No z-buffering or depth sorting yet. Wireframe goes 4.5ms per frame =)
