The point of music is not to impress other musicians. This is a instrument with a new approach to the western 12 tone system, and very utilitarian. It seems like it would allow for different approaches for composition, especially jazz.
Holy crap. that song is beautiful. im a piano player, and that keyboard looks so much better that a piano. ive done some research. i want one of those keyboards!!!!
Unbelievable!! This keyboard needs to be much better known in the US.. Except for the fact we are frozen in tradition and good ideas are lost, this is more versatile than the standard keyboard. 1. Post more on YouTube 2. Offer DVD's 3. Get coverage on Public Television or National Public Radio. 4. Inspiration. Such a amazing word if you really think about it. I think you hit that word in this piece, you really portrayed it in the way you play. There is so much variety and feeling in this. I love it! This is the first piece I have seen that comes close to inspiration, to me at least. Good job!
I have never seen something as elaborate as this instrument! The artist obviously knows how to manipulate it beyond the shadow of a doubt. Great video! Thank you!
I'm going to go ahead and state the obvious , That is a lot of keys on that keyboard. Memorization must take a lot of repitition with that instrument.
i think the point is that memorization takes a lot less work than on a regular piano. Because there are only 2 fingerings for every chord\scale, and those are inversions of eachother anyway and look excactly the same, just 'upside down'. As apposed to a regular piano where a regular major7 chord for instance would have a different fingering in all 12 keys because of the assymetry
It's called the wholetone revolution... It's a korg m5 I believe with a whole tone keyboard

I bought one of these 4 years ago from yahoo Japan's auction site... Had it shipped. It cost me like $600 including shipping and fees.

briliant INSTRUMENT, BEAUTIFUL PLAY!
adXok 2 years ago
Very fine player. Doesn't matter what the instrument can do if someone can't play it.

This instrument is not as good as a real piano.
Piano is usually played blindly.
And Without any protruding notes, accuracy is lost.
I've yet to find any impressive classical (Bach, Chopin, Liszt etc.) played on this instrument.
It just can't compete with the piano.

The memory is unnecessary. Features of these musical instruments are to be able to play it by intuition.
