The machine heads are turned 90 degrees if you look closely...this means he can get that awesome pitchbend sound by tuning the B+E strings, also this is sick for making slap harmonics as you're essentially changing the chord as well. Bending the strings simply wouldn't sound as good! Plus there's the wow factor as well as the practical side to it :)

@mythinktube, it's to get the slide effect, but as he can't get lower than where his capo is positioned, he has to tune it. He does it so smooth and effortlessly though, i'm really surprised his strings didn't snap mid-song :)

Sorry guys I haven't tabbed these tunes out yet! The tuning is very low - A F C F G C, with an upside down capo at the 4th fret on strings 1 to 5. Also, I change the tuning of the second string bewteen G and A throughout the verse sections. I hope this helps! If you work it out please post a video response, I'd love to see! - Jon
