It's a pleasant little song and nice listen, but it's pretty easy to see why it didn't make an album. The lyrics tend to fall flat with only a few parts where the imagery shines, and the guitar part is nice but nothing really special. Nothing against the song, but Mason has produced bundles of stuff stronger than this.
kolno1 you're right, but the music and cd charts are mostly fixed anyway. music like this is way above all the regenerated, generic poppy shit we hear nowdays.
I personally think he's better than Dylan, just as far as being well rounded. Dylan was a talented guitar player and lyricist but his voice his nothing like Willy Mason's. Willy Mason's like Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan with a weird, eerie, creepy kinda twist!
